My son has lost his home....

An hour ago, I received a call from my 26 yr. old son. The apartment building and 3 other buildings are currently burning to the ground. My son could barely breathe to talk to me and all I can say is THANK YOU GOD FOR SAVING MY SON, HIS GIRLFRIEND AND ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE NOW WITHOUT HOMES. My heart hurts for them all. I can only sit and wait by the phone for him to call back. He lives 4 hours away and doesn't want us there,,,he'd rather come home. He will come home as soon as he can...but his friend will drive. His roof and ceiling were about to fall in on him. I think I need to hug him worse than he needs to hug me:(

Thank God my husband is home....the flood gates have opened...

Stay safe friends....love one another...life is too short not to appreciate every second.

How terrible for your son. Loosing everything in the flames is devastating. But - as you said - the most important thing is that their lives were saved. Hopefully he'll arrive soon at your house.

Sorry to hear about that Cindy. But thank goodness they all are alive and well.

How awful for all of them. thank goodness no one was hurt, and "things" can always be replaced. Frustrating for you to be so far away right now.

Oh My Stars, Cindy!!

I know this is shocking and numbing for all of you, and the minutes will drag by until you can see that he is ok, with your own eyes, and give him lots of TLC. My heart is aching for all of you.

You already said what we all know. Thank the Heavens that he and everyone else is safe. Once he gets back to your home, the "taking care of basics" will set in, and you will almost go into auto-pilot, making him comfortable, and then you will feel better too.

Later, when when everyone is rested, will be the time to start taking everything one step at a time. Don't think about all of that now. It will seem overwhelming. Justs focus on the fact that he is safe.

Know that we are here for you, supporting you in spirit!

BIG Hugs!!!
Suzie

Thank God he and the others are safe. Things can be replaced; people can't.

It's truly a blessing that your son is not harmed. Possessions can be replaced in time, devastating as the loss is when it happens. My thoughts are with you and your son.

Cindy, this is really bad news!! The most important thing is that your son is not hurt at all. I wish I could hug you now and do something for you. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Cindy,
I am so sorry to hear about your son's apartment. Praise God that he and the others are safe! But I imagine this will be so hard on them to lose their belongings. It's so good that they are able to come to you. Hug them all you want! Will pray for them.

Dear Cindy,
I know that words are not enough in cases like this one, but let me tell you how much it hurts me to hear that news.
I want to tell you that, somewhere in France, someone sends you her support by her thoughts.
With all my heart, Hugs.
