I know it's been a while, but I wanted to post a page finish. And here it is, page 15.
One more full page and 4 partials to go!
She's off he scroll rods now, taking a short break. I'm working on Siberian Forrest (2012 QS Freebie) Page 2 of that came out Friday. I love the detail in it and I'm going to try to get a page finish on that one too. Just started working on it yesterday, and I've got about 500 stitches in.
Hope you all had a lovely Easter!
Thank you for looking.
Hugs,
Louanne

Goblin Tree Update
I wanted to have a page finish before I posted, but it's taking a while. So here's the latest update on GT. I have touched the bottom of page 15, even if it's only one stitch way down there at the bottom....
I'm continuing work on it this week.
Happy stitching to you all!

Goblin Tree Page 14 Complete
(xposted from my blog)
Pay no attention to the wrinkles. I was trying to get a pic in sunlight, and I couldn't flatten it out that well. Since I finished page 14, I figured it was time to take it off the rods and get a full pic. You can see I've started page 15. Pages 15 and 16 are the last full pages to be stitched, after that there are only 4 half pages to go. If I can concentrate on this, I may be able to finish it this year!

Louanne's Updates
Okay, so I'm guilty as well... Here's some updates for ya! First up is Siberian Forrest (2012 QS Freebie). I am loving this guy, great fun to stitch. I can't wait for the next page to come.
Next up is Goblin Tree. I've almost finished page 14, I'm staying with it at least until I get this page done.
I want to try and finish GT this year. We'll see how that goes.

Way Past Due for an Update
Hello Wonderful Stitchers!
It's been a long time since I posted an update, I know. Rest assured that I've been behind the scenes running the blog and keeping up with buddies, etc. I read every post. You guys are awesome. The beautiful work displayed here always amazes me. I want to thank each and every one of you for your contributions. Breathtaking work, all!
I have a couple of wips to show. I have 11 HAEDs started, so it's not easy to keep everything moving along. But that's nothing new to you peeps, you all have so many gorgeous pieces on the go! I'll just share a few of the ones that I have made some progress with this year.
First off there's the QS Freebie for this year, Fragile Heart. I've completed pages 1 - 4. Don't mind the dirt marks! I was stitching on it outside by the pool this Summer, and DH got ashes on her (it was breezy), it will wash out. Stats:
Fragile Heart Hannah Lynn © HAED
28 ct. Evenweave DMC floss 1 X 1, full cross
28 ct. Evenweave DMC floss 1 X 1, full cross
Next up my progress on Goblin Tree. As you know, this is a retired chart from Linda Ravenscroft, so it's worked on every 5th week during the retired artists SAL on the board. Pages 1-14 Complete. Stats:
Artwork: Linda Ravenscroft Chart © HAED
Fabric: Sugar Maple Fabrics - French Vineyard, 28 ct. Lugana
Stitch: 1 X 1 Full cross Floss: DMC
Start Date: Nov. 2006

Then there's the 2011 Freebie SK SAL piece, Phuan. Stats:
Phuan Lesley Anne Ivory © HAED
28 ct. English Rose DMC floss 1 X 1, full cross
Kreinik Blending Fil. 002HL (I added this)
I also worked a bit on QS Arthur. Stats:

I can't forget to post about Pipsqueak! Stats:

My new start for the year, Catfish. Stats:

One more! Remember Dark Cherry? She was the 2009 Freebie QS SAL. Stats:
Dark Cherry Ching Chou Kuik © HAED
28 ct. DMC floss 1 X 1

There's a few more that got attention so far this year, but this post is already too long, and I don't want to bore you! So I'll sign off for now. Thanks for reading, my stitchy possums! Go in Stitchyness!

Retired Artists SAL
Here's the close up of my progress on Goblin. I'm working on finishing up page 13 and I've spilled over a bit into page 14.
I have the full pic on my personal blog if you'd like to see her face. It's too large to fit the whole thing in the scanner now. The chart is a total of 20 pages, so I'm closer to the finish line than the starting point, but still a long way to go. ;-)

I forgot to post an update here on my Dark Cherry, so here she is after the "Faces" SAL on the board. Nice to see her with 2 eyes!

Goblin Tree - Linda Ravenscroft - Update
One quick note to everyone. Lots of newbies here, so I want to remind everyone to put the name of the chart and artist in your post, and any other relevant data. You can use this post as a guide, for the kind of info you should include. Also notice the labels at the bottom of the post. If you want your # of posts to show up on the right by your name (under Labels) you must include your name in the labels. I also want to say WELCOME to all the new peeps here. All the stitching is fabulous! Keep it up!
It's been a while since I posted an update here. I've been busy doing mod stuff. So here's My Goblin Tree, page 12 completed from Sept. 28th:
And here she is today with a lot of page 13 and a bit of page 14 going.
I didn't take her off the scroll rods for the recent picture, hope you don't mind.
Now for the STATS:

Goblin Tree - Linda Ravenscroft - Update
This is a retired chart from Linda. I started it in Nov. 2006! I'm on the 12th page.
Here it is before the SAL this weekend:
And this is it after:
I love stitching this chart! You can see a bit more of the tree on the right side. It's too big to fit in the scanner so the left side (the moon) is cut off. I will stay with this one through the SAL next weekend. I think it's the Swip/UFO SAL, and GT qualifies! She's the first full sized HAED I ever started, and she's a little more than half way done.
STATS:
Fabric: Sugaqr Maple Fabrics - French Vineyard, 28 ct. Lugana
Stitch: 1 X 1 Full cross
Floss: DMC
Start Date: Nov. 2006
Everyone's work looks great! Keep up the great stitching!

2 Updates
First up, my progress on Goblin Tree, from Aug. 31st, after the retired artists SAL. As we all know, Linda Ravenscroft is no longer retired from HAED (YAY!), but this chart is.

Next, some small progress on Tiny Treasures Sun Worshiper Cat 3 - Katherine Barber. I stitched on it this weekend for the UFO/SWIP SAL. This one is a UFO. The last time I stitched on this was March 2008! YIKES! I was digging through my WIPs and realized I had forgotten all about this little one. I started in the middle this time.
Stats: Silkweaver 28 ct. Opalescent Lugana, color Chashmere Glitz, stitched 1 X 1 DMC.

As a matter of fact this one is also retired.
This is the original.

I have contracted the new start bug. I guess it's a good thing because I joined the SK SAL and selected Moon Fantasy, way back when... I printed out the floss list and page 1, and that's as far as I got with it. Last week I finally pulled all the floss for it, bobinated them all, and got my Pako Needle Organizer all ready. Now I have to search through stash for the right piece of fabric. I also kitted up another new start, floss, fabric and all. But I'm not telling what it is yet. Once I get the first few stitches in, I'll post.

Retired Artist SAL
Here's Goblin Tree, before and after the SAL last weekend. Not a whole lot of stitching done, but I did get a bit more of her dress. Every time I pick her up, after working on something else for a while, I remember how much I love to stitch her! Too bad this chart was retired, it's a joy!

A Page Finish, and some small progress

Finally finished that pesky page 11 on Goblin Tree over the weekend. (And some stitches on page 12) That completes one more yearly goal for me this year!
Then for the SAL I got a little stitched on Dark Cherry.

Goblin Tree - Linda Ravenscroft - Update
Hi Everyone! I've been busy lately, but I've been reading all the posts and all the work is beautiful! I don't comment often, but I read everyday! Kudos to you all!!! What a talented bunch!
Here's my contribution.

Stats:
Artwork: Linda Ravenscroft
Fabric: Sugar Maple Fabrics - French Vineyard, 28 ct. Lugana
Stitch: 1 X 1 Full cross
Floss: DMC
Start Date: Nov. 2006
One of my yearly goals this year is to finish page 11 of this darling, and I'm so close! I plan to continue on at least until it's finished.
I also need to get moving on the freebie Story Keep, I chose Moon Fantasy. I haven't even pulled the floss for her yet!
If you are interested in what's been keeping me so busy lately, and you haven't heard the 'saga', check out my blog.
Happy Stitching All!

My Meager Progress
First, congratulations Caroline!
Second, everyone's stitching is gorgeous! I've been having a hard time keeping up with commenting on the blogs and on the BB. So many pretties! So if I haven't commented on your pic please know that I have looked and drooled over each and every one of them. I've been busy lately. Partly because I can't seem to concentrate on anything anymore. I don't know if it's Spring Fever or what. I live in the Northeast and the weather here has been awful. It's June already and we haven't really had a Spring yet. It feels like it's been raining forever. I just saw our weather report for the next week and they are forecasting thunder storms for all of next week (again). We opened our pool Memorial Day weekend and haven't put a toe in yet. The water is sitting at a steady 65 degrees. That's freezing, considering that your outside body temp is usually around 86.
Okay, enough complaining... On to stitching! Here is my small amount of stitching from the Retired Artists SAL last weekend. Left, is the pic from the last time I touched her, back in December. Right is the bit I got stitched over the weekend. Not much progress, did I say I'm having a hard time concentrating?

Sorry for the sloppy picture. I didn't take her off the rods, since I will continue work on her for this weekend's SAL, the SWIP/UFO SAL. Hope to be able to show some real progress after this weekend.
Till next time! Happy Stitching!

Louanne's Intro
Thanks for inviting me Cindy and Wendy! My name is Louanne, CrazyForCrossStitch in cyber space. I’m married for 13 years this October. No children except for 3 furbabies, Sky, Storm, and Simon – 2 Persians and 1 Domestic Longhair (which makes for a lot of cat hair in my stitching!) I live in Northern New Jersey, USA. About 40 minutes south of NYC. Believe it or not, this is horse country! I’m practically across the street from several (race) horse farms.
Shelia Wolk is the artist that caused me to find HAED in July of 2005 and I admit: I am an HAED addict! It’s a shame that HAED no longer charts her work.
The first HAED I completed was QS Wizard of Oz - Gustafson
Then ACEO Best Friends - Harrison
My current wips are:
Goblin Tree - Ravenscroft
Dark Cherry - Kuik
Lil Blue Fairy Cat - Hawks,

Curly Tailed Rosy - Rodrigue
and Bewitched - Koukiotis (this last one is in Vikki's silks)
.JPG)
I look forward to sharing my stitching with you all and watching your stitching and stash grow!
