Shauna's Queen's Croquet Ground

Hello all!  It's been a few months since I've posted but I do have some progress to show.  This is 4 pages of Queen's Croquet Ground by Scott Gustafson.  2 more pages and I get to move to the next row where you really get into the meat of the design.  I love the flock of flamingoes and you can just see the head of a statue.  I'm really enjoying this chart.

Queen of Hearts - Pages 45 thru 49 - May 17, 2013

I finished up page 45 this afternoon and thought I would post a progress pic.  2 more pages and the bottom row will be done!  Yeah!

I need to change to something else though, for a while.  Tired of the black and red! :)  I really want to start Mask of Colors I, but was just RAK'd Bird-Song and I also have several other HAEDs that I want to start, I have 8 HAED designs and can't decide......

I'm behind on Buddy Requests

Just a quick note.  You may have noticed that I haven't deleted anybody yet.  I'm overwhelmed with the Bulletin Board, Face Book page, etc.  Also trying to fit a life in there somewhere.  Getting the yard ready for Summer (if Summer ever makes it to the East Coast).   As if all that wasn't enough, my laptop is acting up.  So if you've sent me a request to become a buddy and haven't heard back from me as yet, don't worry.  I'll be getting back to the admin of this blog soon.  I will do a cleanup of posting members, and I will go through the Buddy List in order, I just need more time.

Stocking for Lucas

Finaly the end of this stocking.
Its for my grandson lucas. He is only seven months but in the future he wil enjoy it. Now I can make the bleu fabric behind it. And a  ribbon for the stove to hang on. I  started  Gothic, from Marta Dahlig but there were some health isseus. Still not better but its comming slowly back again.
Sorry this is non HEAD. but at this time its all I did in three months. In a respons of Louannes question I will give up my place to a more active new member. I hope I can get back to a more serious project I hope so. Good luck everyone. I enjoyed it here very much. Astrid.

Fw: Dryad first week !

Ok finally I got to start the "Dryad" by Renee Biertempfel. ( this is the finished piece )

I am stitching this beauty on 25 count evenweave using tent stitching 2 threads on 1. .....

Not much to see for the moment but am looking forward to finish 1 page every 10 days or so, I like to get myself targets !

Faces of Faery 75, Queen of Hearts and The Last Leaves

I apologize for not updating for so long, but I've been stitching in several charts and I think my progress were no enough to show you. Last weeks I have advanced and here are my progress.

 

FACES OF FAERY 75: The diadem and earring have a lot of confetti, but not it's very funny stitching it. Stiched on lugana 25, 1 over 1
 

QUEEN OF HEARTS: I love it. I think it's one of the most beautiful charts on the world. Now you can see the face, and I hope to stitch very quick to see it finished. (Lugana 25, 1 over 1).

THE LAST LEAVES: The photo is not very good. Here you can see the first line of pages. Sometimes is heavy, becasuse most of it is on white (Lugana 25, 1 over 1

Updating the Membership

Thanks to the few that have responded/commented to my post.
I am going to go through the membership list this weekend.  Anyone that hasn't posted in the last 6 months will be removed.  I will then offer full posting membership to buddies, in order.  This will take some time.  I'll post again when I can update you with more information.

Terrible stitching slump ... but here's a little update :)

I've been in an awful slump again ... not sure if it is the time of year or what (I was the same this time last year)  Anyway, I've started to do a bit, a few stitches here and there.  So here is my BB SAL piece ...

It's Been A Week

Yes, a week since my last Admin post, and I haven't received a single email from any member.  Should I take this to mean that none of them are coming to the blog?  Not even to read the posts?
I am unsure of what to do next.  Do I toss out every full member that hasn't posted or communicated in any way in the last month or so?  Then invite all the buddies to become full, posting members?  It is unfair to the buddies that we have 100 posting members, all slots taken, yet most of them don't even read this blog....

Slow Progress On Curl Up with A Good Book & Wizard of Oz

I haven't had much progress on any of my HAED's lately.  But I thought I would share where I am on a couple of my pieces.  I noticed that I haven't posted these updates yet.

My Curl Up With A Good Book from the 2011 BBSAL:

I sent my Wizard of Oz out for an UFO Round Robin, and some really great progress was made!

Page one was finished and pages 2 and 8 got some good progress made on them. :)

I thought I'd share with you the new start that I have begun in honour of our upcoming (slightly delayed) honeymoon to Egypt.

  

I know it doesn't look like much yet...but hopefully the next update will look a little more impressive.  It's stitched on 25ct Magic Guide 1 over 1.

Admin Cleanup

Hello All,
    It's that time again!  We need to do some housework.  There are many members that haven't posted in a long time.  I know life gets in the way, I have my hands full with Admin here, on the BB, and on Face Book.  With so many requests to join, it's unfair to have an enormous list of buddies, while full posting members aren't posting.  With over 100 full members our blog should be very busy.  So the first step of the cleanup is this.  If you haven't posted in a while and are willing to give up your slot as a posting member to a more prolific stitcher, please email me and let me know, do not comment on this post, email me.  We'll see how many slots we can open this way.  I will, of course, let the buddies know that they may move into a full posting slot in the order in which I received their initial requests.  So first into the buddy list will be first into the full member list, and so on.  I'll let you all know where we stand in one week's time and if we need to take more steps in the clean up.

BTW:  Buddies, when you email your post please be sure to add your name to the body of your email!  No one will know who posted what, if you don't.  Also include the title of the chart which you are posting.  Stats would be good as well.  Fabric type & count, floss type, silks, DMC, etc.

I am terrible at posting updates.  I have a 34 year old special needs daughter who has required more and more of my time recently, which means less time for stitching and posting. But I have been working on Mini Checking it Twice by Gelsinger and wanted to share my progress. Less than two pages left to go on this piece.  I started on November 4, 2012, and am stitching on 18 ct aida.   Cathy
