It's been a while since my last update, but the last couple of months have been pretty hectic - vacations and work have kept me busy :)
Anyways, here is my latest update on Frog's Kissing. I finished page 4 last night and have started on page 5. I'm starting to see more colour variations than just white and 3756 (which having gone through more than a skein of each makes me happy)!!
This has been stitched 2 over 1 on 22 ct.
There's still a long way to go (36 pages in total), and I have less than a year to finish it (it's for my cousin's wedding which is going to be Aug 22, 2015)
Tomorrow is a public holiday here which means that it's only a half day at work. I'm hoping to spend my spare time getting a good chunk of page 5 done. It's going to be hard to find time for stitching in the next little while as I was recently transferred, so as soon as my work visa comes through I'll be moving countries again (got to try and fit my life into 4 suitcases again!) :D
Newest update. Just completed page 3 & a bit of page 4. Being stitched on 28ct 1 over 1, full stitch. I just love this one. On page 3 was the first time I had any confetti & that was so small didn't even take any time. Love, love, love the fabric. Little gold specks dyed with light greens & a yellow. Pictures can't even show how beautiful this fabric is. It's just perfect for this beautiful design.
Update. Just completed page 5 of 36. I always get excited when a row is about to be finished. Already started working on page 6 so hopefully this won't take too long. Being stitched 1 over 1 on 25ct fabric.
And I finished another 1st page. This time its Autumn Winds from Selina Fenech. large chart format, stitched on 18 count aida 2 over 1. And I'm going to start the next page soon (if my fingers let me, been bitten by a horse)
I'm here with an update again! This time it is my progress on Autumn Winds from Selina Fenech. I stitched all the dmc 3855 of the first page, which is a LOT! Hope to finish the complete page before the end of July.
Selina Fenech - Autumn Winds, stitched on 18 count ecru aida, 2 over 1
This is what this piece will eventually look like (I hope!) I can't believe I started it nearly 2 years ago and haven't stitched on it for nearly a year. Definitely is going to be in my rotation more often (Would be easier if I didn't have so many different projects going on at once, but now that I have become a serial starter....) Stitched 1 over 1 on 25 ct lugana.
I finally completed page two.
Which was so much fun. Finally began to stitch a bit on the tree!! One kitty angel wing and about 1/3 of the first kitten under her. It was so hard to stop stitching but another piece was hollering loudly that it needed to join the non HAED SAL so I reluctantly put this one up for now and reminded it to yell more loudly when I am deciding who gets stitched next.
Stitched on Lugana 25count. Replaced kreinik on her skin for plain white as I didn't want it to be shiny…. Only used kreinik on her hair and dress.
Love the results of this design and hope you like it too….. :)
This is the 3rd of 3 WIP that is in my rotation. Page 2 of 42 now complete. I honestly can't say enough about this pattern and even the fabric that I have for this one. I just love doing this :0). The colors are exactly what I love working with and since there has been not one bit of confetti its a fast stitch.
This is my progress as of yesterday - Sunday June 22, 2014. I have now finished Pages 1-3 out of 36 Pages. I am so very happy about this. I will begin with Page 4 next. Page 5 is the last page for the top half of this...I am so excited because before I know it I will have the top half of this done. There is so much Confetti Stitching at the very top of it where it is curvy at...the yellows, and the grays and the black...oh my gosh...talk about Confetti Stitching...Whew!
This is one of my WIP, Dragon Rip by Anne Stokes...as of right now I have 3 in progress. I am thrilled to say that I just finished the 2nd row 6/15/14. Started it I think it was in August 2013 but had put it away until February. Anne Stokes is one of my faves & have almost all of her charts :0)
Well, in the last 8 days I have managed to complete page 3 and get a good chunk of page 4 done! It's not as much as I wanted to do, but that's what happens when you work on your day off!! I only managed to stitch for a couple of hours yesterday when I was planning on spending the day on the couch with my work :(
This is stitched on 22 ct, 2 over 1 and has turned into a needle killer...I've destroyed 3 needles in the last week and am on my last one. Last Friday, I finally found somewhere to purchase needles (not an easy feat where I live let me tell you) and ordered them. Post is slow here, so hopefully I get them before I break my last one!!
