Queen of Hearts - Mel "Romantic Fool"

Happy New Year!  This is my first post of the new year and am very happy to report and show some progress on my Queen of Hearts. 

My goal for 2011 is to stitch 2 pages of Queen of Hearts.  This picture represents 25% of that goal already complete!  And it is only the first week of the year!  Yay!  That leaves for lots more stitching to be done!

Mad Tea Party Update - Mel "Romantic Fool"

I've been slowly working through my stitching goals for the year.  Slowly being the key word.  I think I've only accomplished a handful.  The easy one (or maybe not so easy) was not to buy any new stash unless it was absolutely necessary to complete a current project!  The second one was to complete one page of HAED's "Queen of Hearts" which I did earlier this month.  Now I've been working on HAED's "Mad Tea Party". 

This one is ultimately going to be for my niece.  She is currently 9 years old.  I might have it done by the time she turns 18!  LOL!  This one I decided to do a little differently than my other HAED's.  I am doing this one 2 over 1.  It definitely makes a difference in the appearance but at times makes it difficult to get the needle through the hole in the fabric.  But over all I am pleased.  Just makes it slow going.

I haven't finished one page yet but I am halfway done with the first page. Ok, maybe a little more than halfway done! 

Dragon Knot Update

It's been a very long time since I've posted an update on Dragon Knot.  It isn't much but I have worked a teeny tiny bit on it!

This week I've been stitching a lot on Dragon Knot. I love the way it is coming out! You can't tell by the pictures but the colors are stunning!

No Update this Week

I have no update on Dragon Knot 2 this week as I've been busy working on other projects/presents. But I want everyone to know that I have so enjoyed reading the blog entries and seeing all the pictures!!! Keep up the good work everyone! I probably won't be posting another update for 2 weeks as next week I will be going to Houston for a visit!

Dragon Update

This week I was able to work on Dragon Knot 2 a little bit more than I have been! I think I made some good progress. I love seeing this piece come together!

I was able to work a little bit more on Dragon Knot. Some progress was made but not much. I have other projects I am also working on so I tried to work on Dragon mostly on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Dragon Knot 2 Update

This was my first Thursday with the SAL. I am currently working a big convention so I was only able to put in a few hours of "lazy" stitching. Meaning I was so tired, I could barely concentrate on it, but I wanted to participate a little bit at least!



I've been working on Dragon Knot for my sailor for about a year(?). I can't quite remember. But it's been a while. Here is my before picture:
