O Kitten Tree by Randal Spangler Page 2 completed 6/26/14

This is what this piece will eventually look like (I hope!)  I can't believe I started it nearly 2 years ago and haven't stitched on it for nearly a year.  Definitely is going to be in my rotation more often (Would be easier if I didn't have so many different projects going on at once, but now that I have become a serial starter....) Stitched 1 over 1 on 25 ct lugana.

 I finally completed page two.

Which was so much fun.  Finally began to stitch a bit on the tree!! One kitty angel wing and about 1/3 of the first kitten under her.  It was so hard to stop stitching but another piece was hollering loudly that it needed to join the non HAED SAL so I reluctantly put this one up for now and reminded it to yell more loudly when I am deciding who gets stitched next.

Thanks for looking.

Kim (Demeter83's) Dragon Rider update

Here's my latest update on Dragon Rider, which I'm absolutely loving. The motorbike has appeared, which is very exciting. There's one stitch that's really bugging me that I think I'm going to have to unpick and to in a different colour (who'd have thought one tiny stitch could make such a difference), but overall I'm very happy with it!

HAED's SK Dragons History - Finished 16th January 2013 by Gizzimomo

Hello Everyone,

I've got a new finish to show you! It's my 19th HAED finish and it's SK Dragon History by Randal Spangler.

He stitched up really quickly (just a month for four pages) and is such a handsome little chap that I just had to share. I did 'bling it up' a little bit as I felt the lettering wasn't as clear as it could be so I backstitched over it with a dark red metallic thread to make it clearer but unfortunately the photo had come out a bit dark and doesn't do the piece any justice. There are some clearer pictures available to view on my blog (http://gizzimomosstitchyplace.blogspot.co.uk/).

1 thread over 1 square, 1 thread for metallic backstitching

Finished on 16th January 2013
Total Stitch Time - 30 days

I hope you all love him as much as I do!

Afternoon Tea. RE-start

Hi everyone! I re-started my "Afternoon Tea" this month... The first was in Madeira and I didn't like it. So, this time I use the original DMC floss.
And I decided to stitch without the border (like in "Sunday Delight").
Wish me a good luck :))

Fish Juggler Update

This week's update on Fish Juggler. I have finished page 1 and have started on page 2. As I purchased the large format graph it is 56 pages long - so I have quite a few to go.

Fish Juggler Update

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since since I last posted. I had a large project to finish and then I could start and concentrate on my Fish Juggler piece (by Randal Spangler).

I finally finished my other large project - which took 14 months (seemed like a lot longer at times). I finished griding my material and then hubby and I went to Fiji for a weeks holiday.
So I was in for a treat when I returned so I could finally start stitching. Progress pictures are below.

First photo was taken as of Sunday 24th July 2011:

Second photo was taken today Sunday 31st July 2011:

This design is very addictive. At the moment it is big blobs of black and dark green but I can already see the start of the design and am very excited.

Til next week - best wishes, Gail.

Shauna's Train of Dreams

This is my latest progress. I just finished another set of pages late last night. I've only got one full page and a partial page left. I can't wait to put that last stitch in and then get it ready to be sent off to the framer. I've decided to pay the money for Jill Rensel to do it since it's for my son and I want the framing to be extra special. Thanks for looking and happy stitching.

Updates for my Buddy, Cindy in MA - 27th March 2011

Here's the latest update for my buddy, Cindy in MA

-------------------------------------------------

I have put in 2 weeks on The Astronomer & I think I have made some good progress. I did 926 stitches. It doesn't sound like alot but it was all confetti stitching. I confess I had one day out of the 2 weeks that I did not get 1 stitch in. Just too tired.

Now I have a confession to make. Chocolate, Chocolate & More Chocolate was supposed to have a turn next but I could not resist starting another one. I have now added Afternoon Tea to my rotation.

What can I say. I'm addicted to these little dragons.
On a non stitching note the weather here has been better. No snow & not much rain for the last 2 weeks.Maybe spring has finally come to New England.
Okay now time to go stitch somemore.
Have a great day

My Buddy Carol, Eldar

I am working on Eldar by Randal Spangler.
I am working him on 20 ct. Aida, with one thread of DMC. I haven't got a lot done so far but I have attached my progress as of today. Sorry not good pics, don't know how to fix them.
I have really big hopes of finishing him for my Grandson Kane's birthday next MAY so I have to keep motivated.
Hugs, Carol

New Member

I am new to the group and wanted to stop by and say hello. My name is Gail - i'm 38 years old and live in Sydney, Australia. I have been looking and drooling over this blog for a long time and have admired many Heaven and Earth designs for a long time but have only recently added a few to my collection.

My favourite artist at the moment is Randal Spangler. I have several of his designs but the one that is kitted up ready to go is Fish Juggler. I just love the whimsical aspect to it.

Hopefully I should be starting this one soon and will post update photos.

Best wishes, Gail
