Introduction from Yvonne (Buddy Member)

Hi, my name is Yvonne and I'm currently working on Peacock's Lagoon by Ciro Marchetti. I started it almost 6 months ago and have done the first page and almost half of the second. It's being tent stitched on 25ct Jobelan. This is my first HAED and I'm really enjoying how it's turning out so far.
Here's my most recent progress picture:

Besides my HAED I am also working on Cirque des Cercles. I also post updates for both of these projects to my blog at http://www.kamikazepenguins.com/xstitch/
Happy stitching and many thanks to Valerie for being my blog buddy!

Don't Fall of the Chair

After a long absence, I have returned to the HAED fold. I have picked up my Peacock Lagoon and added some stitches. I found parking the threads did not work for me. I also had to take out the highliter and mark as I stitched. Now, I am no longer lost and feel motivated to stitch on it again.

After:

Thursday's do not work for me as I am at stitching group on that day and 16 stitchers talking and laughing together lead to many mistakes. I will stitch another day and post when I can.

Introducing myself

Good morning everyone. My name is Kathy A. and I am 56 and I live in Ontario, Canada, not far from my BFF Beatrice, who introduced herself earlier.
I have been an avid stitcher for over 20 years. Beatrice' mother, Adriana, who is now 92 and still stitching, was my teacher. She stitched a Lavender and Lace "Nantucket Rose" for me and said that from here on in I would have to do my own stitching. I was hooked.
I have been stitching madly since I retired in 2001 with my DH. I belong to a large stitching group in Canada that keep me inspired and enabled. In the winter, my DH and I winter in Southern Arizona. My stitching community then focuses on the internet since I have not found a single stitcher in my area!!!
Several months ago Beatrice and I were surfing the web and we came across HAED designs and immediately fell in love with them. We both purchased one and I spent the last few months gathering all the required threads for the both of us. What a collection of threads and colors we have.
I started my HAED on Thursday thanks to this blog and all it's inspirations. Here is my HAED

Peacock's Lagoon

and here is my progress after 3/12 hours and 250 stitches.

I am stitching on 25 count antique white Lugana 1 over 1. I can see this is going to take a while. I think I will consider this my ten year project.

You can check out my other stitching projects on my blog. www.kathyssitandstitch.blogspot.com

Till next time
Kathy

Hello from Lesley

Hi, I just want to say hi to everyone here. I love HAED charts and am busy working on a number of them. I have finished one -- the Letter L and have 6 more in the progress of being done. I have a companion to the L with the Letter G and it is over half finished now. I am hoping to get them made into pillows for Hubby and myself.

I am also working on Wizard's Emissary and have nearly completed the first row of pages. I have Daydreaming Fairy which is part of the year long SAL on the forum. One of my favourite artists on the site is Ciro Marchetti. I have a number of his charts and am working on two. Ancient Eygpt and Peacock's Lagoon. The final chart that I am working on at the moment is Pink Daydreams. I have the first page done and it is on the back burner right now waiting for me to finish a few others.

The rest of my work in progress.
