Finally I found the time to work on Manhattan Wonderland again. And as always enjoying it.

Manhattan Wonderland

Finished page 3!!! And at this stage I simply refuse to look how much more pages to go. I don't look any further then pages 4 and 5...lol.

Everybody's work is so lovely. I admire all of them. Although I have at the moment not the time time for commenting. Life is pretty busy here with a sick family member and some other stuff.

Wishing everybody a great week

Gabi

Manhattan Wonderland

Due to family circumstances there wasn't much time lately to stitch on my HAED. I took it only once with me. Still loving stitching this chart and hopefully I will soon have more time to put more stitches in it.

Manhattan Wonderland

My weekly update :)

And I have a weird problem. No matter from what angle I look at it. I do see a line between page one and two. Asked my husband, and he does see that too. I never had that before. Does anyone know how to get rid of that line?

I don't really want to work over 2 pages :(

Manhattan Wonderland

My weekly update :)

Next to stitching I frogged all the Kreinik and replaced it with simple and plain white DMC B5200. And finally I could lean back and be happy with how the sky looks. That glitter just didn't seem to fit. For the snow I bought shiny Satin S5200. It will take ages anyway until I come to the snow...and who knows what opinion I will have by then about how to stitch the snow...lol.

Manhattan Wonderland

This week's update on Manhattan Wonderland. I didn't get really much done - this Thursday was rather busy here.

Manhattan Wonderland

Finally....page one finished. I started Thursday and didn't stop until I had that page done.
What concerns the Kreinik - I'm still not complete sure what to do. To be honest, as much as I do love glitter normally, it seems somehow out of place in the sky. I doubt it that the artist herself has glitter on the original painting. It just doesn't feel and looks right to me. I think I'll replace the Kreinik in the sky with white.
And not sure yet what I do with the glitter in the snow. I might leave that. It takes ages anyway until I'm in the position to make a decision about that. Who knows what opinion I'll have by the time I reach the pages where that comes up.
Week 08

Manhattan Wonderland

My weekly update for Manhattan Wonderland. Got a bit more done on the first house. And I'm not too happy about the Kreinik Breid. I used Rainbow Gallerie Petite anyway, but that's pretty much the same stuff. I'm stitching with one thread over one. After reading on the HAED Yuku board that most only do a half stitch with the braid, I followed that advice. It looks weird to me. It's not only transparant...which would be ok, it's also less thick then the rest of the stitching. And I don't think I'm a fan of that combination. In the next page I'll make a full cross stitch. And no...I won't frog the braid. That could only go wrong. Besides, sky is not that regular...lol. IF it's visible that I used 2 different ways of applying the braid in the sky then I'll keep my face straight and insist it was charted that way!!!

Manhattan Wonderland

This weeks picture of Manhattan Wonderland. Not really much progress because I only worked one evening on it.

My weekly update on Manhattan Wonderland. This week I stitched 2 evenings on it.

Manhattan Wonderland

My 3rd evening of stitching on this piece. This is the first time I really do a SAL, because normally I don't like the idea of changing my stitching frame for just an evening. But for this SAL I do it - and enjoy it. Started looking forward during the week to the upcoming Thursday...lol. Anyway, here is my latest picture:

Manhattan Wonderland

My second update on Manhattan Wonderland. I didn't get much done, because I only stitch on it on Thursdays until "Coming to Water" is finished, which is a non HAED chart which I want to finish. Manhattan will then move up and take it's place and I will work more on it then once a week.
