Koukiotis Sleeping Beauty Completed!

Hi everyone! My very first HAED finish. I started on her on the 18 Dec 08 and completed her today, 06 Jul 09. Tent-stitched on 28ct Wichelt Jobelan Lavender Sunset, using HDF silk. This blog is one of the many people whom I want to say thank you to. Without the encouragements and lovely comments from the stitchers here, I wouldn't had the motivation at all. Thank you so much!

What will my next HAED project be? I have no idea. I really hope Mermaid's Touch from the same artist (Koukiotis) will be charted very soon as that one grips me as much as Sleeping Beauty when I first saw it. I guess in the meantime while hoping for it to be charted, I will continue with my Angel of Spring.

Koukiotis Sleeping Beauty 25 Jun 09

Hi Everyone! I had been stitching on my Sleeping Beauty for the past 1 week, taking it slow and steady. This is the progress since 7.30am this morning. I didn't had the time to iron her before taking a picture as I was rushing to make some buns for coffee.

Intended to stitch a bit more on her during daytime when my DD goes to the kindergarten but she had a minor accident yesterday evening (knocked the back of her head against the marble planks at the window), so she stayed at home today. She is fine but still we want to observe her for 24 hours just to make sure. Looking forward to see more WIPs tomorrow morning. Tiring day for me today, so I am off to bed. Happy stitching to those stitchers who are still seeing the daylight :0))

Katerina Koukiotis Sleeping Beauty 04 Jun 09

Hi everyone. Sorry for my not updating any progress for 2 weeks now. I had been down with a very bad flu and an ear infection, so that left me with no mood, no concentration and no motivation (EXCUSES) to stitch on my wip. I picked her up again very early this morning since it is our Thursday SAL. I could had stitch a bit more but I have to pack our stuff as we are leaving for Copenhagen tomorrow. I have lots of catching up to do since I am up and running again. Will try my very best to post comments to all the lovely wips posted by everyone. Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone. This is my Sleeping Beauty after 1 week. Not going as fast as I wanted to but still I am quite happy with the results. I thought I could finish the last 3rd page today but I couldn't make it but very close. I really feel lucky with her. I haven't been frogging on her much since I started. I guess the most stitches frogged were like less than 20 stitches (touchwood!). I am looking forward to see wips posted. Have a great day!

I never thought I could finished another page within 2 days. This is 1 of the last 4 pages (all partial pages). We have a worker here today doing some works in our bathroom. I couldn't clean up while he is making a huge mess in our bathroom, so I stitched. I am going to read a bit before going to bed. I am looking forward to see wips tomorrow morning. I wish every a great weekend (it is a holiday here in Denmark tomorrow) and a Happy Mother's Day!!

Hi to all my dear HAED stitchers here. This is my latest update on my Sleeping Beauty. I've finished 6 full pages and the last 30 stitches were put in at around 5am this morning. I am quite happy with the progress. I got to thank everyone for the encouragement and also showing their lovely wips on this blog as these are the main thing that really keep me going. Special thanks to Cindy F. (the creator of this blog) who takes the time to visit our blogs to leave a kind comment and encouragement. Also to my good friend Jackie who is always there to lift my spirits up and giving me great comments on my wip. Looking forward to see more wips today :0)))

Yvonne's Intro

Thank you so much to Cindy and Wendy for setting up this blog to join HAED stitchers together :0))

I am Yvonne from Denmark, married for 6 years and we have a 4 year old daughter together.

It was the beatutiful artworks of Katerina Koukiotis that made me started my first HAED project 1 year ago :0)).

My first project was and is Angel of Spring with a background removal. I stopped stitching on her as I wasn't so sure about the colours on her face. However, after the assurance of many members from the HAED forum, saying she looks perfectly normal and nice, I am going to pick her up again once I complete my Sleeping Beauty which is my current project. I am stitching her 1 over 1 on 28 count SMF airbrushed Keenan.

This is my current HAED project which is Katerina Koukiotis Sleeping Beauty. I started on this beauty on the 18 Dec 2008 and till date, I've completed 5 full pages. She is a real pleasure to stitch! I hope to complete her real soon and continue with my Angel of Spring as she is still my absolute favourite :0)). I am tenting with 2 over 1 and using HDF silk on 28 count Wichelt Jobelan Lavender Sunset.

I am looking forward to see more wips from all the HAED stitchers here. In the meantime, I have to read the blog and admire all the beautiful stitchings.
