Still Stitching despite everything!

I have been stitching away on Three Graces: no pic at the moment, have now completed 100,000 sts a milestone.

We have been away on holiday with our daughters and grandchildren: a really fun time and they want to do it again next, so it must have been OK. (the 4th year running).

However when we got home, our water tank had leaked into the master bedroom: we had to hurriedly move out bits and pieces, but luckily no furniture or the bed was affected. We have had various inspections and are now waiting to have part of the ceiling replaced, the walls and ceiling painted together with new carpets. It could have been a lot worse.

To add to everything else, I had tooth ache, the dentist has put in temporary filling and I am on antibiotics and painkillers, and not looking forward to root treatment next month.

Sorry for the long post, all I can say is thank goodness for stitching. Have enjoyed looking at everyone's WIPs

Another New Member

Thanks for letting me join you: I have been an avid watcher of the blog since day one and seeing all of the WIPs is very inspiring especially when bogged down in confetti.

Brief intro, my name is Lynda and I live in the UK near the Scottish border, a mile or so from Hadrians Wall. My family consists of a DH Bob and a westie called Rowley who rules the house and is almost 16. Down on the south coast, we have 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren who we don't see as often as we would like. I retired to be a full-time carer back in 2004, I was a management accountant, and decided not to return to work after my father passed away. I have been stitching forever and was self-taught: presently have a rotation of 8, 4 HAED's and 4 others.

My current project is Kinuko Y Crafts - Cybelles Secret - now on page 4.
