I just put the last stitches in page 5 of Contemplating the System. I really wanted to finish this page before the end o f the month. So I'm really happy that I could do that today.
Here is where I started this month.
Here is where I finished today.
Next month I go back to Fantasies of the Seas. Hope I can get as much done on it as I did with this one.
This is the piece I am working on this month. Here is where I started at on Sunday 3 January.
And this is where I ended yesterday.
I think the only reason I got so much done this week is because I was home sick for two days. I had lots of stitching time. I can hopefully finish this page this weekend. After all the dark colors on Astronomer and Fantasies it is nice to do some bright colors.
I finally finished page 3 yesterday. I'm working longer hours now and it is cutting into my stitiching time! However, more money for more stash. Well, let's get to why we all come here. Here it is with a little lap over onto page 4.
I am almost done with page 3. I have most of one column and four rows to go. I already have some overlap onto page 4. I hope to have it done by next week.
And here is where I am now. The colors are really bright in RL, but it's kind of overcast here today. I like this more and more as I go along. Thanks to everyone on the blog and your wonderful support.
I finished page 2 last night. I really wanted to get this done before the end of the month. I think I'll go on with page 3 and then switch back to Fantasies of the Seas after that. Beatrice, you wanted to know about staggered stitches, take a look. That's how I keep from getting breaks on columns and pages.
I was working on an exchange piece last weekend so I didn't get as much done, but I have this whole weekend to stitch and I hope to finish page 2. I only have about 2 and a half columns left.
BeforeNow
Isn't the dragonfly pretty? The colors are much more vibrant in person. It was nice to stitch something without brown in it. Thanks to everyone for their comments.
I'm almost to the body of the dragonfly. I didn't get as far this week as I wanted since we went out of town to see the parental units, but I am about a third of the way done on page two.
Last week
This week
I do have to work on an exchange piece this weekend, but I hope to get at least half of page 2 done by next week.
I finished page 1 of Contemplating the System - again. For those who don't know, HAED reworked the pattern when I emailed them about it being too dark. This is what it looked like before. This is what it looks like now. It's much lighter. Which is good. I was really tired of all that black!
I had to restart Marchetti's Contemplating the System after Michele reworked the pattern. It looks a lot different than all that solid black from before. I started last Thursday and I am a little over half way done with page 1. It is stitched 1x1 full cross on 28 count mushroom lugana.
I finished page 1 last night and started page 2. I really needed this SAL! I'm getting stitches in my CtS. The only other thing I can say is FREAKING BLACK! Every stitch I put in on page 2 is black. I've almost gone through a whole skein already.
I've been missing the SAL from the BB. I really need some motivation to get moving on my HAEDs. I am working on Contemplating the System by Marchetti. I'm almost done with page 1. Hopefully I'll get it done Thursday during the SAL.
I'm going to alternate CtS with Fantasies of the Seas by Christensen. I'm on page 10 of it.
Really looking forward to getting back into the swing of an HAED.
