QS Emerald Dragon is FINISHED!!! As of 23.07.2011 by Gizzimomo

Hey guys!

Well I finally did it and way before my deadline too so I'm chuffed to peices. I put in some hard graft on him over the past couple of days and after page 8 was done then the remaining partial pages just flew by in a matter of hours so Emerald Dragon is completely FINISHED!! YAHHHHHH!

I'm soooooo pleased with how beautiful he came out, he was so worth the hard work the last few days and I've sent him into HAED for the Reward Program ( I'm hoping to get Sara Butcher's QS Cardinal Song in return).

Here we go guys,

Here's a QS Emerald Dragon update with the finish of page 7. As you can see I've done big old chunk of rock with the other half of it on the next page. The next page is the last full page with the four following pages just being little partial pages. I'm nearly there and should get him finished as planned by the end of the month so I can get him into the reward program!!

Here is my Emerald Dragon as of yesterday (5th July 2011) and page 6 is done.! It was only a little partial page so it didn't take very long at all but I still have three big pages on the next row and then just partials on the next so there's still quite a way to go yet!

Here's an update on my HAED QS Emerald Dragon as I have finished page 5 meaning that the dragon himself is nearly finished even thought the design is only half finished!! I love how he's looking... so very cute!!

QS Emerald Dragon as of 13th March 2011 (Pages 2 & 3 Done) by Gizzimomo

Hey guys!

Well here we are with Emerald Dragon and Page 2 is done! Incidentally Page 3 is also done but only because Page 3 has no stitching on it, so next page with stitching will be Page 4.

My little dragon now has a head and neck and looks sooooooo cute! While I was stitching him it looked like just a mass of green and as usual as soon as I stepped back there he was in all his glory and I’m really pleased with how he’s coming out!

Well it’s back to Terra for the BB SAL now to do Page 2 on her and get her out of the way. I’m must admit I’m really not looking forward to stitching her again so I guess this is make or break for her as either I won’t be able to bring myself to do the horrible tent stitching anymore and she’ll get permanently benched or I will be able to bear doing it and she’ll make the cut…. time will tell I guess!

QS Emerald Dragon as of 5th March 2011 (Page One Done) by Gizzimomo

Here’s the first update on my progress with my latest start….. QS Emerald Dragon by Meredith Dillman.

First up is a reminder of what the original artwork for the piece looks like…

and here’s the first progress shot after the finish on page one. It was only a small partial page and under 1/4 of the chart page was actual stitching so it was pretty quick and I’ve already discovered a rather cute little dragon snout! Again, I’ve substituted the Kreinik for Sulky 7021 metallic machine embroidery thread.

Here are the important specs for this piece:

Stitched on 22 count white hardanger

1 thread over 1 square (2 over 1 for all the metallic stitching)

Started on 5th March 2011

Faces Of Faery 141 Update as of 5th March 2011 (Partial Page 3 Done) and a New Start by Gizzimomo

I've a couple of things to announce today....

First up is an update of Faces Of Faery 141 as I finished page 3 last night (5th March 2011), granted it was only a small partial page! At least with the finish of this page I have the full height of the design and Alice now has some fingers as well as some hair....

Secondly, I haven't gone back to Faerie Melody and although the next page of Terra for the BB SAL has come through I've not gone back to that either! Instead I've made a new start and am currently working on QS Emerald Dragon by Meredith Dillman!!

There isn't a progress picture yet as I haven't really done much yet as it was only started late last night but I'll post something over the next couple of days for you. I'm stitching him on 22 count white hardanger, 1 thread over 1 square and have substituted the Kreinik for the Sulky thread again and am using 2 over 1 for all the metallic stitching.

I'll be back in a few days with some more pictures for all of you!
