Susan's Little One Lost

My HAED buddy Kim has inspired me to finally post a progress picture. This is Little One Lost from the HAED Freebie SAL. I started it in the middle of January, and can finally see parts of the kitty kat. And alot of confetti stitching! I was hoping to finish the 1st page before the next page is released, but I don't think that is going to happen. I just don't seem to get much stitching done during the work week, and weekends have been a little crazy lately. But I will continue on!

This is stitched on 25 count 2x1 tent stitch.

Restart

I restarted "Little Secret" . I was stitching 1x1 and had started in the corner, but it just felt like it was going so slow. So I restarted (on a new piece of fabric, which was a bummer) and am tent stitching again. I also decided to start in the middle. I did that on my last HAED, and I liked it better. You get to the good stuff first, but can branch out to different pages and stitch background too.

So obviously, not much is done, but at least it is a start (or restart as it may be!)

Have a happy weekend!

I'm back!

Hi everyone-I have been lurking for the last 5 months after finishing Sunnia, and unfortunately, not doing alot of stitching. I am trying to get back in the groove.

This is my updated picture of "Little Secret" by Gulinski. I had the first 2 columns already done, and I was trying to get the third one done before rotating out, but it was time for a change.

Hopefully, I will be around more with some other stitching projects!

Sunnia is Finished!

I finished Sunnia about a week ago, and totally forgot to put a picture on the blog! I started her on 1/1/07 and finished on 4/26/10. She is for my son, he picked this out when he was about 11 or 12. He is now 15, and I was worried he wouldn't care for it anymore, but he still likes it and knows how much work I put into it.

I do have a couple more HAED's started that I can now pay attention to. I have one for my daughter and a couple for me. So I will still be around, and will post updates soon.

Thank you for all your encouraging comments-it means alot to know you have a group of lovely people cheering you on!

Page 22

I managed to finish page 22 before the end of February! I have been trying to remember to post at least once a month, but when there isn't much progress, it is a little discouraging!

I have 1 more full page and 2 partial pages left!

I'm back!

Hi everyone-

Sorry I have been MIA for the last couple of months. I got sidelined by my Chatelaine, and managed to finish all the stitching on it, so now it is time to go back to my rotation.

I finished pages 24 and 29, and now have 2 whole pages and 2 partial pages left. I will definitely see this one finished this year!

Everyone's progress is so beautiful-I love seeing all the updates.

I will be around more I promise!

Susan's Stitching

I have the great pleasure to be Susan's stitching buddy. Here is what she is working on.

I'm working on Witching Hour and you can see here almost 500 stitches. Doesn't look like much does it? But it's got black and 3 shades of blue. I'm working on ecru aida, 18 ct with 2 strands of floss.

More to come next month and in the meantime I'll keep enjoying all your progress pics/tales.

Sunnia update

Here is Sunnia after a 2 month hiatus. I have been stitching on her, just for not long periods of time. I really thought I would finish this year, but now I have my doubts. There are just too many distractions out there!

Anyway-I have been keeping updated on everyone's beautiful stitching, and hopefully I will be around more often!

Made it the bottom

Well after 2 years or so, I made it back down to the bottom. Only a couple more pages to go, and 1/2 are just partial pages. I want to continue on, but I think I need a break for a few days. It's just so hard-I am so close to finishing!

Sunnia update

Well it doesn't look like much, but here is an update on Sunnia. I am almost at the very bottom, and stitched 3 more columns over the weekend. One more to go, and I'll be done with this page-I love partial pages! You feel like you accomplished so much, but really, not so much!

Made a goal!

Hi everyone-
I finished another page tonight, and it was an accomplishment of a goal for me. On the HAED BB, I had made challenge goal for myself to get in 6 pages this year. And this was the 6th page! I am thrilled to have finished it so early in the year, and am thinking I may actually get this thing done by the end of they year!

Hi everyone!

Sorry-I haven't been around much lately. I intended to finish this page of Sunnia in May, but got wrapped up in some other WIP's that I actually managed to finish! So this month I putting alot of time into this one, so we will see how far I get.

Love to see all the beautiful updates-everyone's stitching is beautiful!

Friday, May 8, 2009

I actually got to stitch on my HAED on Thursday-usually I have to wait until the weekend. But I had taken the day off for a dr appt, so I had the rest of the day to stitch. I finished about 1 1/2 column's of stitching-pretty good I think!

This is Sunnia Golden Dragon by Linda Tso. Stitched 1x1 tent stitch on 25 count lugana.

Thanks for looking!

Finished a Page

I finished a page on Sunnia today-The end finally seems in sight!

Love seeing everyone's updates-such an inspiration to keep going!

My first HAED attempt

This is my first start for "storykeep white magic" HAED. I am stitching on 28ct Lugana, 2 over 2. My eyesights can't deal with 1 over 1 without a headache. I was going to give it up until my LNS told me to switch to 28 ct, stitching 2 over 2.
I have 2 more HAED coming in the mailbox....... "Dance of Kokopelli" and "Humble Adobe". This was before I knew what I was getting into . "Sigh"!

Sunnia

I managed 2 more columns on Sunnia this weekend-so close, yet so far! I don't like to get burned out, so I am trying to stick to a rotation. I imagine I will finish the page in the next 2 weeks or so.

By the way-I really am not that fast of a stitcher-this piece is tent stitched which makes it go twice as fast. It almost feels like cheating, but I love it. I wish I had stitched a few of my other HAED starts with the tent instead of full cross. Thanks for looking!

Sunnia update

Here is where I am at with Sunnia. I stitched about 1/2 page this weekend-I am moving out of the background and into more detail stitching, so it has really slowed down. I almost have her hand done and flower.

I love seeing everyone's updates in this blog-it is alot easier than using the HAED BB to see all the updates, so thank you for creating this blog for all of us to use!
