Enchanted Flute Progress

I've been making steady progress with Enchanted Flute over the last couple of weeks. I've decided to use a combination of methods for stitching this. I liked working in 10 x 10 squares as you see the picture materialise quicker but there is so much confetti stitching in this that having so many threads on the go, they were just getting knotted and in my way. So now I'm working 10 x 10 but instead of leaving the thread hanging in the next 10 x 10 I'm using up all that is on the needle, then going back and using the next colour. I hope this makes sense, hopefully you'll understand from the picture.

You make sense, I work exactly the same way and I like it very much. Your enchanted flute is great, I love the work of JW!

Great progress. And your explanation makes completely sense. That's how I work too normally. Although I started recently to also park. I do a combination of both.

I have the same problem and I have very much confetti stitching, almost the entire pattern, so I also agree to try this way, thank you for the tip

So glad to read that I'm not the only one "experimenting"! I so wanted to do a 10x10, park my threads and get that nice, square finished look, but I simply couldn't park my thread after 3 stitches! So I decided to treat a 20x40 as if it were 10x10 and that seems to work, so far. Nice progress on your Enchanted Flute!

I sort of do the same thing, on and off. I just go with the flow. The Flute looks great. Can't wait to see more.

Makes perfect sense to me. I had that problem with my Annubis (not HAED) the very first part was over 30 colors and they might all be in one 10x10 square so I did exactly what your doing here. it made my back a dreadful mess but it was the only way I could do it. The lower potions of mine will not be so much confetti so will be easier.
