Koukiotis Sleeping Beauty Completed!

Hi everyone! My very first HAED finish. I started on her on the 18 Dec 08 and completed her today, 06 Jul 09. Tent-stitched on 28ct Wichelt Jobelan Lavender Sunset, using HDF silk. This blog is one of the many people whom I want to say thank you to. Without the encouragements and lovely comments from the stitchers here, I wouldn't had the motivation at all. Thank you so much!

What will my next HAED project be? I have no idea. I really hope Mermaid's Touch from the same artist (Koukiotis) will be charted very soon as that one grips me as much as Sleeping Beauty when I first saw it. I guess in the meantime while hoping for it to be charted, I will continue with my Angel of Spring.

Congratulations on the BIG finish, Yvonne! She is beautiful, and it is due to your wonderful stitching!

Don't forget to send the photo to HAED, so that you can get a free chart!

You are so lucky... no, I know it's not luck, but hard work ! And here is the result... a wonderful and peaceful sleeping beauty. The feeling when you have finished a HAED design must be unique, isn't it ?!
I'm looking forward to see it framed !!

Bravo for your beautiful sleeping beauty! When I finish a work, I'm always a bit sad because I can't stitch it anymore, is it the same for you?

Yvonne said...

Definitely sad, Valerie. I mentioned on my own blog about the mixed feelings I had when I finished her. It is just a weird feeling. I don't feel that much for a project I used a month on but I've used almost 6 months on Sleeping Beauty, so I will definitely feel something is missing when I want to stitch tomorrow early in the morning. Now I really want to know how other stitchers feel when they complete a much bigger HAED project that took them a year or more.
