My name is Jessica. I am a stay at home mom and this is my first post in this blog. I am working on Lavender Moon by Jessica Galbraith. It's my first HAED project and I have learned so much since I had first started. I have learned that parking or carrying threads is much faster than one thread at a time. I don't know why, but I had such a hard time wrapping my head around how the technique was suppose to be done. But with the help of some online friends and then the tutorial from this group, I think I have the hang of it now.
The two pictures that I have posted are before and after pics.
The top one was taken a few months ago and the bottom one was taken this morning. I managed to put in about 1250 stitches in the last 5 days. I really like parking threads! LOL
Thanks for letting me join in and share my progress!

Beautiful progress Jessica :)
You have a great start. I too love to park threads. I find it much easier to pick up again in the next block or half page.
Really good progress for you. Glad to hear of a convert to carrying the threads....so much quicker.
Jess,
This is looking great! Love these colors.
Welcome Jessica! Your work looks great already and indeed with the good explanation from Vickie, I started parking my threads also. It does go faster than taking one thread at a time.
Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments!
