Newbie around here - first post

Hello all -i joined up a few days ago and have finally got round to taking some pictures - so here is my WIP of my one and only HAED QS Twilight Shimmer - it's not looking very exciting at the moment but i'm hoping it'll take shape over the next few months - i will try and keep up with the Thursday SAL but work and life kind of get in the way and i also have some other stitching commitments to keep up with.

I originally started stitching Queen of Hearts as i just totally fell in love with it, but it took me so long to stitch one page that i had to make the decision to leave it as there was just no realistic way of me completing it, so i opted for a QS (which for me will still be a ridicuously long stitch lol) -I'm so pleased to watch other stitchers progress though on Queen of Hearts, it reminds me how gorgeous it is ..maybe one day i'll take her out again..

In the meantime i'm loving keeping up with everyone's progress - such fantastic stuff out there

By the way, I'm Maureen from Scotland

Don't be discouraged that these take so long, they take everybody a long time. Just sit back and enjoy the process. You have a good start already, you'll be surprised at the progress once you have 2 or 3 pictures done.

Hi Maureen and welcome. You have made a nice start on your QS. They certainly do take a long time to stitch. I just love the journey and watching the picture emerge. It is very satisfying.

Welcome Maureen!! Awesome start on your QS:) But don't you give up on your Queen!! If you stitch 1 block a week, you'll be finished before you know it....faster than leaving it packed away;)
