New Queen of Hearts update

Hi everyone! I've been lovin reading all your posts and looking at all your pics, you all have some really fabulous stitching going on :)
Thought I would update you all with a pic myself. I've been working on her shoulders all last week, they were so time consuming what with all the detail stitches and the constant colour changes, but the effect is so worth it. There must be 30 colours in her skintone alone!
I'm really finding my groove with Queen of Hearts now, she was tiresome to stitch for a while what with the background, but I'm lovin stitching the detail, wish I didn't have to do so much b'ground, but the reds look really lush, so it is worth it in the end ;)
I shall be working on pasrt of her wings next, wish me luck!

Ooooh, all of the reds and shadows. I love it! And her skin looks like a photograph, doesn't it? Very well done!

Oh my gosh. This is absolutely stunning. Love those colors. Like you said, it might be sometimes boring to stitch all these reds, but boy - the effect is simply stunning. It's so worth it.
