Mich - My Christmas tree is growing

Goodmorning all of you !! I did quit some stitching this week, around 2200 stitches, and I was late in my bed every night this week, due to this HAED I'm addicted too ;-))
This is how my work looked like last week ...

And this is how it looks like after 2200 new confetti stitches. Ohohoh, I really want to stitch some more blue colour now again, instead of all that counting on the confetti stitches. But I guess next week will also be more confetti stitches, before the blue colour turns up again.

And we are also challenged to show the back of our work, and this is mine. Terrible, isn't it, you see lots of threads going up and down and from left to right, just because of the confetti stitches. There is no way I can work in a decent way !! I hope I didn't scare you too much when showing this hihi !!
This will be my last post in 3 weeks now, as I will fly to Belgium on Thursday for Easter holidays and will only be back 12 days later. I'm not taking my HAED with me (how will I survive this) but I have another stitching work lying at my mother's on which I will be working. I started it 2 years ago for her birthday, and poor mum, after 2 and a half years, she still didn't receive her present !!! So I will work some more on that one then. But in the meantime I will of course check this blog every day, and will gladly comment on all your beautiful progresses.
If you want to follow me during this time anyway, and are curious of what I will be doing in the meantime, you can follow me on my blog : http://michdg.blogspot.com/
For now, have a good weekend, and don't forget to turn off the light and electricity supplies tonight between 8.30 and 9.30 pm. That means 1 hour less of stitching, but sometimes we need to do something for our planet !!

Oh my gosh! Mich that is a great progress you did. Your christmas tree is coming along nicely. Your back isn't that terrible. It's like I'm saying, it is the front that counts.

I love the little cabin and tree, and you are doing great. Who cares about the back, like nancy said, it is the front that counts :)

You made a huge progress. And it's really great to watch your work growing. I don't care about how a backside looks either. Wishing you a great time in Belgium

That is really coming to life and you have done quite a bit this last week. I love it when all the filling in is done.

Mich, I am absolutely loving the colors in this piece, and your stitching is perfection!

As for the back, to me, it looks like a very artsy textile rendition. The threads on the tree are in the direction of the branches, so it makes the tree look three dimensional, while the roof looks like thatch! lol

I checked out your blog, and have added it to my list on my blog. I love your scrapbooking as well! You're a very talented person!

Have a wonderful trip! And happy stitching on your Mom's present!
