The Final Few

Hi everyone,
I am new to blogging, but have cross stitched for years and years. More than I like to count. I am working on the HAED The Final Few. I saw it in the Nordic Needle catalog and fell in love as did my mother, who is 92, and I am stitching this for her. I do hope and pray that she is with us for a long long time. I started this on November 7, 2008 and this is the extent of my progress. It has been un though, even if sometimes the stitching gets a little tedious.
I am a retired school teacher. I taught for 32 years in the small town of Douglas, Arizona right on the Mexican border. Our house was 15 blocks from the border. We loved Douglas and raised our two children there. When we retired me moved to Tucson, Arizona where we live now. There is more to do here and with all the violence along the border we are glad to be a little bit away from it.
I have done Cross stitch, Needlepoint, Hardanger, Blackwork and Crewel. I enjoy them all but the Cross stitch and Hardanger are my true favorites.
In case you haven't guessed, this is my first time writing to a blog. If I make any gross errors, please let me know.
Anne

This is so lovely! Very nice colours. Are there a lot of confetti for this one? The background colours are beautiful!

I love your panda, it looks great !!

Wow, Arizona was one of the most beautiful states I was able to visit in the States. Soooooo beautiful nature !!

I don't recall Douglas, I have not been so close to the border in Arizona (did that though in California), but Tuscon I remember as one of my favorite places !!
