Hi Everyone, My name is Bonnie. I live in Gilbert, South Carolina. It is about 20 miles from Columbia. I am a converted southerner (originally from Idaho). I have been stitching for I would say 30 years. I have recently retired and I am in the process of cutting back hours at work. I will probably be working three days instead if 5. That will give me 2 more days for stitching. YEAH!
I really like HAED Designs. Several years ago, I purchased Breast Cancer Fairy by Wendy Kathleen. I didn.t want to stitch the background so I ordered hand dyed fabric from Silkweavers. It is a pretty 25 count pink Luguna. I started it doing 1 over 1. Somewhere along the way I kind of got discouraged and didn't feel like I was making any progress. Now that I see everyone's lovely work and gorgeous pictures, I am again optimistic. I can do this, I can. It is possible. lol. I think I am going to enjoy stitching all the lovely shades of pink and seeing her come to life.
This is my progress as of now. I started stitching on her shoulder, neck and hair. I am not sure which page it is but I thought it would be easier to go back later and stitch the pink ribbons which are her wings. Thanks Wendy and Cindy for starting this wonderful blog and for the invite and welcome comments.

Hi Bonnie,
Such beautiful colors! This will truly be a treasure. Love that fabric you chose!
Totally agree with Yoyo about this blog being so enabling. I've never thought much of this chart until I see your wip. The colours are really wonderful and you took a great pink to stitch this one.
I understand when you said about being discouraged along the way. Well, you won't be anymore as this blog is a very encouraging blog.
