Queen's Croquet Ground by Shauna - 6 pages finished

Hi everyone!  This is my latest update of Queen's Croquet Ground by Scott Gustafson.  This is 6 pages completed which also completes the entire top row.  The next row of pages is going to be all about adding the people to the design and I'm really looking forward to that.  I feel like the characters really bring this design to life.  I hope you all enjoy seeing it.

Unicorn Dream - Week 169, Dreams of Gaudí - Week 165

I've just realized how long it's been since I last posted my progress here! Sorry about that! Anyway, I'm working on the penultimate page of Unicorn Dream, on a nice big patch of 939! :)

And I've just finished page 17 (no. 34 by the page numbers on the pattern) of Dreams of Gaudí! It was awfully confetti-heavy, so I'm really looking forward to the next page (no. 27) with the rainbow and the roof! :)

Treasure Quest, Randal Spangler, finished... KARMEN

After nearly 13 months, stitched two over one in Aida 16, ready to frame...

Mini Transcendence as of 20th June 2013 (Page 6 Done) by Gizzimomo

Hello!

Another page bites the dust!

HAED's Mini Transcendence as of 20th June 2013 (Page 6 Done)
HAED's Mini Transcendence as of 20th February 2013 (Total Progress So Far)
Mini Transcendence is at least 50% done now and I'm stunned at how detailed he looks in the photos as he looks quite smooshy close up but then again that's kind of the point with HAEDs isn't it!

See you soon!

Gothic from Marta Dahlig

The process is slow. Four pages done. You can see the arm well. Not if you are on top, but now the picture is taken. Very beautiful.
It is tempting to first do the face. But I simply love surprises. So I go down first. Well boring but that does not matter. Maybe I do work from bottom to top, in order to keep up the tension.

Starting Over

I was not satisfied with my progress on Lavender Moon or QS Storykeep Masquerade so I started them over.  I was stitching them over one with two threads.  I thought that the stitches were too bulky.  So I am now stitching one over one and love it!  I think that was why I couldn't keep my interest in stitching them.
So here is my start on Masquerade.  I will show an update on Lavender Moon soon but waiting for new fabric to start stitching that.  I will also show one over two to show you the difference.  Beautiful work everyone! Happy Stitching!

As things are today

I have been out of stitching and blogging so long, I feel rusty!
But it starts to itch again. Due to health issues I haven't stitched for so long.
But now things are starting to settle a bit so I am now slowly picking things up again.
The last WIP I was stitching on was Mini Berry Branches. Here's a pic:
So happy to pick her up again!

.....maybe I will start a new one. You know, for the joy of stitching again! ;)

Happy stitching!

REBIRTH

Hello everybody !

That is how I used to begin all my posts.
Before anything else, I always wrote “Hello” because the most and first important thing for me was to greet you all, my friends. And in purple because it’s my favorite color.

But it’s been a long, long time that I didn’t write any post.

I don’t know if you remember me. But I remember you.

My name is Marie, and I live in France.
I subscribed to this blog on its beginning and I can still feel the excitement and the deep emotion when I signed up.
I was working on Winter Angel from Kinuko Craft and I tried to show you my progress each week. I wrote my last post on October 2009.
And nothing anymore.

Little by little, life became harder and harder. Day after day, month after month and...year after year. Everything became so dark.
So much bad circumstances were so unbelievable that sometimes, even if I had to stay strong, I broke down.
But in this darkness, there was one light. Always in my mind, always in my soul.
Stitching. My Winter Angel.
I was not able to stitch. But even if my fingers didn’t touch the thread, I only had to close my eyes and I could smell the scent of the fabric, hear the melody of the scissors and see the symbols becoming magical crosses.
My thoughts were daily occupied with a wonderful and very strong dream : my Winter Angel framed and hanging on the wall.
She was my Light.

I was also thinking about this precious place, firmly settled in my heart. I was sad  to be unable to be here.
But I maintained the hope to come back and write posts again.

During several weeks, my husband and I lived in our car. I remember that each night when I couldn’t sleep, or just to make me smile, he told me about my stitching. Asking me what color I will choose for the frame ! I don’t know how many times he said to me “Believe me, you will stitch again”.

No, I was not always strong. And no, I could not always stop myself crying or feel lost.
But it’s in the darkness that you can see the stars, and for me, the star of the stitching was shining every dark day, and every night in my mind.
Stitching was my key to hold on, and to finally manage to climb the mountain.

This is a message of Hope, for everyone who lives difficult moments.
Never let your dream disappear, because it can truly save you.
This is a message of Gratefulness.
Thank you all to make this precious place live.

Beeing a part of this community is for me a honor.
Even if everything is not resolved, I am now safe and sound in a new and real home.
Time has come for me to rebuild myself and make my dream come true.

So, if you agree and if you forgive me for my so long silence, I will be more then enchanted to share with you the rest of my stitching journey.
On the following picture, you will see the last update of my work before I stopped stitching.
I took again my needle ten days ago, which was an incredible moment full of emotion...
And now, cross after cross, I am walking on the path of my dream...

Stitched 2 over 1 on 25 count Dublin Linen

And to finish this long and endless post... I will write two words full of joy and meaning :

Happy Stitching !

Marie.

Shauna's Queen's Croquet Ground

Hello all!  It's been a few months since I've posted but I do have some progress to show.  This is 4 pages of Queen's Croquet Ground by Scott Gustafson.  2 more pages and I get to move to the next row where you really get into the meat of the design.  I love the flock of flamingoes and you can just see the head of a statue.  I'm really enjoying this chart.

Happy Stitching everyone!!!

I'm behind on Buddy Requests

Just a quick note.  You may have noticed that I haven't deleted anybody yet.  I'm overwhelmed with the Bulletin Board, Face Book page, etc.  Also trying to fit a life in there somewhere.  Getting the yard ready for Summer (if Summer ever makes it to the East Coast).   As if all that wasn't enough, my laptop is acting up.  So if you've sent me a request to become a buddy and haven't heard back from me as yet, don't worry.  I'll be getting back to the admin of this blog soon.  I will do a cleanup of posting members, and I will go through the Buddy List in order, I just need more time.
Thanks in Advance for your understanding.

Faces of Faery 75, Queen of Hearts and The Last Leaves

I apologize for not updating for so long, but I've been stitching in several charts and I think my progress were no enough to show you. Last weeks I have advanced and here are my progress.
FACES OF FAERY 75: The diadem and earring have a lot of confetti, but it's very funny stitching it. Stiched on lugana 25, 1 over 1

QUEEN OF HEARTS: I love it. I think it's one of the most beautiful charts on the world. Now you can see the face, and I hope to stitch very quick to see it finished. (Lugana 25, 1 over 1).

THE LAST LEAVES: The photo is not very good. Here you can see the first line of pages. Sometimes is heavy, becasuse most of it is on white (Lugana 25, 1 over 1

Happy stitching!

Updating the Membership

Thanks to the few that have responded/commented to my post.
I am going to go through the membership list this weekend.  Anyone that hasn't posted in the last 6 months will be removed.  I will then offer full posting membership to buddies, in order.  This will take some time.  I'll post again when I can update you with more information.

Terrible stitching slump ... but here's a little update :)

I've been in an awful slump again ... not sure if it is the time of year or what (I was the same this time last year)  Anyway, I've started to do a bit, a few stitches here and there.  So here is my BB SAL piece ...

And A Princess is Born (Hannah Lynn) Just starting on the second row of pages ...
