The only way

Dear friends,

One morning, I opened my eyes and I listened attentively. I discerned little sobs and murmurs.

Then I got out of my bed and I followed these whispers. They guided me up to my stitching room... It was my Sleeping Beauty...

I must confess that I don’t feel well in my life since a too long time now. I had very bad troubles, and very hard moments without the necessary strength to overcome them.

That’s why I abandoned my WIP’s, my journeys...

So while I was standing in my stitching room, powerless and depressed, my Sleeping Beauty spoke to me. She said : “I need to live, and I need you for this. If you help me, I can help you too.”

“How ?” did I ask to her.

“Take your needle, did she answer. Forget everything else, and take the path of your passion again. Take the path of your life again.”

And that’s how I finished the page 3, not without difficulty, but she was right. She helped me.

Today, it is with a great and enormous pleasure that I’m sharing this with you all.

I hope that you will like the pictures. It is stitched on 28 count, with two strands of threads.

Stitching... Sometimes a lifebuoy, sometimes an outlet ... But always a precious journey.

I wish you all, my friends, a happy stitching...

Marie.

Marie, I use stitching as a form of therapy. It's the perfect time to shut my mind off and direct my frustrated energies towards something beautiful and productive. It helps get you through the rough patches in life. Thank you so much for sharing Sleeping Beauty with us. I'm so glad she could be there for you :)

Wow, the detail on that is absolutely beautiful, I hope you continue and I get to see this grow.
I've always found my stitching quite theraputic, it means I can concentrate on that and shut out everything else.

So nice to hear from you again Marie! I've missed your thoughtful posts and wonderful WIPs. Sometimes the hardest part is just to pick up the needle and begin stitching. After that it draws you in. Sleeping Beauty is so dreamy and the colors flow so nicely. Welcome back!!!!
