Last week DH and I went to Germany, a short week's holiday. And Call of the Raven went with me ... time to show progress. I thought it would be nice to show a year's progress. so the first picture is the one of October 2009 , the last is October 2010. Considering I have two other HAEDs on the roll, it's not that bad, I think.

Cheryl's update: The Waiting (Schim Schimmel)
I have completed another page. 10 pages to go!
I have bought the chart for my next project. It's the pair to The Waiting and it's called The Lights of Home 2. I really like it!

Witching Hour - 1 Page DONE!
I finished a page! My first! Woo Hoo! I'm celebrating!
My progress pic is attached. I wish you could see it better. The shading of blues is just so wonderful! I put it on the window sill for the best lighting but it is cloudy and rainy outside so the resolution is poor. But at least you can see the growth. Next time I'll try taking the picture under my OTT lamp.
Thanks to the HAED sale, I finally broke down and bought 10 Lepers. I also have Touching the Hem of God. Both by Christensen. I wouldn't do the background of either of those--I'd just use a dyed Lugana--so I just might start the latter.
For those who want to know, Witching Hour is a design by Ash Evans and I'm stitching it on 18 ct. beige Aida with two strands of floss, full cross stitch.
More to come the end of November! And in the meantime, I'm watching all the wonderful stitching.

Here is my first picture of Pumpkin Pixie. 2 pages and a bit more finished. I am loving the contrast between the black and bright orange. I started her mid September.
I am stitching her full crosses two over one on 25 count Magic Juice Lugana.

Unicorn Dream - Week 51, Dreams of Gaudà - Week 47
Working on the Unicorn was pretty good this week, large chunks of blues, I went pretty fast, I guess.
However, the current page of Gaudà drives me crazy! The confetti is brutal, and I haven't really made much progress... I can't wait to be done with this page, but the end is still very far away!

Hi, I am new to this SAL. My current focus piece is Pumpkin Pixie by JBG, but I am also working on Bridge of Wings by SPML, Blue Moon by Linda Ravenscroft and QS Nice Farey by Amy Brown. I look forward to sharing my progress with you and watching everyone else's. I just love seeing all the beautiful pieces.
Progress On Storykeep Logan by Gizzimomo
I've decided that I'm going to restart Storykeep Logan (by Carrie Hawks) when QS Darcy is finished. I did hours more work after taking the last photo but just don't like the coverage I was getting and hated the feeling of a job half done I was getting either. So I guess I am too much of a cross stitch purist for tent stitch. It was a hard decision to give up the work I'd done to restart but if I don't it's rapidly going to become a UFO and I really don't want that!
So keep your eyes out for a restart when QS Darcy is finished!!

Guess My New HAED Storykeep Start!!! by Gizzimomo
Hi guys,
Been laid up in bed with the icky flu for the last couple of days and since QS Darcy in set up on the large floorstand I haven't been able to stitch her from bed so I took my new HAED Storykeep start up to have a go at.
I started it on Wednesday 20th October 2010 and am stitching on 25 count evenweave with 2 threads over 1 square and am test driving tent stitch (although I am a bit of a stitching purist and already feel like I'm cheating and not doing a proper job.... feels half done if you know what I mean!!)
I'm not telling you which one it is or who it's by yet so you guys can have a guess as to which one it may be...... what do you think???
Hey! At least I finally managed to take a photo with sparkly threads in that you CAN ACTUALLY SEE the sparkly threads in...... woohoo!!!

Restart
I restarted "Little Secret" . I was stitching 1x1 and had started in the corner, but it just felt like it was going so slow. So I restarted (on a new piece of fabric, which was a bummer) and am tent stitching again. I also decided to start in the middle. I did that on my last HAED, and I liked it better. You get to the good stuff first, but can branch out to different pages and stitch background too.
So obviously, not much is done, but at least it is a start (or restart as it may be!)
Have a happy weekend!

Checking In Again
Good grief! I went through the WHOLE process of setting myself up after being accepted on here and then forgot how to post an entry. Sometimes I think the hair dye I use affects my brain!! LOL.
I am in the process of trying to figure out how to post pictures so be on the lookout for blobs! Seriously, I do have a bit more than blobs, but not much.
I am trying to post the pictures because my stitching mojo took a vacation. I come home from work with the best intentions and then I simply stare at my stitching until it's time for bed. I know it will come back, I just hope it hurries. Until then, I am enjoying everybody's posts and pics. I think I will force myself to do just one needleful tonight - maybe I can jumpstart my mojo.
Take care everyone,
Yvette

QS Stella and QS Aurora's Garden
Hello all my stitching friends around the world!
Here is the second pic of QS Stella. I have not finished fixing my color mistake...just wasn't in the mood!
The weather has been gorgeous here in Texas and I really felt like I needed to stitch on QS Aurora's Garden! I started with the greens above her head and then wanted to finish her hair, but apparently I have "stolen" her floss for another project!

Angelic
From the very beginning I want to say to Louanne thank you very much for accepting me as a member of your blog. I love cross stitch.
I have worked on a lot of different charts, but this is my first HAE work. It's a Rachel Anderson's design called Angelic. At the moment it's only a small violet square, but I'm sure it will become a wonderful angel. I'm working in Aida fabric and stitching with two strands.
Please, excuse me for my poor English: I'm from Spain and I haven't spoken this language for several years...

Goblin Tree - Linda Ravenscroft - Update
One quick note to everyone. Lots of newbies here, so I want to remind everyone to put the name of the chart and artist in your post, and any other relevant data. You can use this post as a guide, for the kind of info you should include. Also notice the labels at the bottom of the post. If you want your # of posts to show up on the right by your name (under Labels) you must include your name in the labels. I also want to say WELCOME to all the new peeps here. All the stitching is fabulous! Keep it up!
It's been a while since I posted an update here. I've been busy doing mod stuff. So here's My Goblin Tree, page 12 completed from Sept. 28th:
And here she is today with a lot of page 13 and a bit of page 14 going. I didn't take her off the scroll rods for the recent picture, hope you don't mind.

Progress Of My Mermmie
OK since the eye op has left me unable to stitch this month, might as well show what i have done so far, to be honest it is annoying me that i cant stitch, when i am not wanting to put her down, as i am looking forward to seeing the ship appear.

HAED's QS Darcy - Progress As Of 15.10.2010 by Gizzimomo
Here's the latest update on QS Darcy... I'm on the bottom row now so she's really close to finish. I've finished the partial page 7 and am stitching the partial page 8 with only a tiny partial page to go before she's done.
There was lots of Kreinik on her body on this page but the pictures never show the sparklies which is a shame as the majority of her skin on the whole design is shiny.
Can't wait to finish her as I don't want to start anything new until she is finished and I have THREE HAED's kitted up waiting to go...... one's a Storykeep (on which I'm going to try tent stitch for the first time on an HAED), one's a Tiny Treasure and one is a full size design...... all very exciting!!!!

Unicorn Dream - Week 49, Dreams of Gaudà - Week 45
Finally I got away from the blues of the Unicorn, the first yellow flowers have finally arrived! :)
However, I still went pretty slow with GaudÃ, this time because of the amount of green confetti. It looks pretty abstract for now, I hope it will look better once I'm done with the rest of the stitches. :)
