Before the end of the year I've managed to make some progress with both my wips... the colors have arrived at the Unicorn, in the form of the dragon's fire:
With Gaudí, after the previous brutally confetti-heavy page I've returned to the calm of the blue clouds:
And I'm going to celebrate tomorrow the only possible way: with my favorite wip, Chuck vs. the cross stitch! :D Happy New Year to everyone!

Trellis Kitty, at the end of the year
Well, I haven't been able to finish it for this year, but I hope I will finish it for 2011. The cat is finished, I only have to stich the flowerpot, the flowers and the floor.
Merry Christmas to everybody and a happy new year. Karmen.
First update for my Fairy Sisters
Merry Christmas everyone!
I started Fairy Sisters this Christmas weekend. We went camping for the weekend. It was a wonderful weekend with lots of time for stitching. Just imagine sitting under HUGE trees, chatting with family while stitching . . . I have forgotten how nice it can be.
Just to remind you how it will look (in a few years' time) here is a picture of the end product.
And here is where I am after two days:
Not much too see yet - only two colours :)

I am now stitching on QS Creativity from Lisa Victoria. That will be my focus piece for next year. I hope to finish her in 2011.
I hope you all had a good Christmas.
Happy stitching,
Lonneke

17º Paso
Well after some color changes, I managed to get this beautiful picture instead
! The truth is that I would have liked to finish it for Christmas but circumstances have prevented me, so now I will finish with a little more quiet for the next year!
Every time I look more like it.

Christmas Stocking
After the Madonna is it, to get used to one another Christmas project. It was for me really not sure yet what I want. This Christmas stocking is a middle ground for something greater. I also love the Sleigh Ride by Morrissey. The sock is fun to make though. This sock is the Sapphire of Cari Buzaik.

Cheryl's update: The Waiting (Schim Schimmel)
I have finished the earth in the sky. It was a heap of confetti but it didn't take me as long as I thought it would...I have also completed most of the next page as well. I am about halfway across so I have about 3 pages to go...
Cheers

Train of Dreams Framed
The train is framed. Because this work is for our future grandchild my dil Sanne could pick out the color of the frame. It turned out red. With a wooden touch. Because there is no child to be born yet, it is on my desk. So I can look at it every day :). It gives me a happy feeling to watch it.

Dreaming On The Farm & Mermaid
Well I finally got around to finishing her face and i am now in the process of filling in the gaps of her hair, but most are one stitch so it is taking a while. I have also mislaid a colour i need so i am going to the shop just to buy another colour instead of hunting for it more.
I was hoping to finish four pages on her this year but it does not look likely, sorry for the bad photo, our camera is not that good.
I am also showing my other HAED that i am going to be focusing on next year ( i am going to try and get page 3/4 done on Mermmie first)
It is Dreaming On A Farm by Hannah Lynn, this is also stitched on 25ct using DMC Magic guide as i don't like gridding, she is also stitched 1x1, only put a week into her so far but i cant wait to get to the bright clours, hubby is not as keen on this one like he is the Mermaid, he says it is because of the ship but i think it may be something else lol

I did it !!!!
Last week it was too cold to be outside. So, I have finished the Madonna. With the last stitches my thoughts went out to another Christmas project. I think it will be a Christmas stocking from Cari Buzaik (Sapphire).
The framer has called, he said that the Train of Dreams was framed. Tomorrow we get that first. I will take the Madonna with me to search out a beautiful frame for it. Of course I will show how the train has become. I am also very curious.

First post for my new buddy Vani!!!
Hello Everyone!
Thanks to Louanne for introducing me to my Buddy, and thanks to Thea for being my Buddy!! I am working on several pieces right now, I will admit some have become lost in the pile, as I find myself working on some focus pieces! And of course I am starting a couple more in the new year that I am really looking forward to! So here goes:
My first is Shore Line Village by Dennis P. Lewan, stitched on 25 count Lugana, 1 over 1, full cross:

Wrath
Here's my progress after two pages (almost, because I didn't have one thread of colour, so there are four stitches missing from the second page). The picture is really bad, I'll need a new camera.

QS Dragon Soul
Here is a pic of QS Dragon Soul. I couldn't get the camera to work so it is scanned. It is about 20 or 22% done here.
Anal Nathrac will be restarted when I get a new fabric. I didn't like the way it was working up.
For 2011 I'll be joining the Freebie SAL and hopefully have pics of that start up in Jan.

TT Purple Dragon Update 3/12/10
Thought I would show you all an update as I'm now halfway through her =). I don't know what's came over me but I can't stop stitching on her! As you can see my methods are all over the place with this one but I'm getting there.
Getting reading for 2011 - Fairy Sisters and Sweet Selena
I am getting ready for 2011's stitching and in anticipating have gotten two new HAED patterns to be alternates to my main stitching of Fairy Tales.
Here is where I am with the maiden of Fairy Tales so far - I was very bad. This is more than a year's stitching:
And this is what she will look like - someday . . . hopefully. . .
And I just have to share the very pretty SWEET SELENA - I can't wait to start her!! She has 90 colours and I am waiting for the first page's colours to be delivered before I can put the first stitches in.
And the Fairy Sisters is my last alternate.
These are the projects that I am going to concentrate on in 2011. What about you guys?
