Hello, Fellow Stitchers!
 
My name is AmandaMichelle, I'm 23 years old and from Canada. I'm new to this blog, but not so new to this wonderful site or to cross-stitching. I was taught by my stepmother when I was about 10 years old, and have loved it ever since.
 
Currently, I'm working on Jim Warren's "Night Moves". I'm on the last mini-page of column 1. The next column should show the first horse!
 
Anyway, I'm so excited to be on here with all of you amazingly talented people. I love to see everyone's updates, it's very inspiring. Thanks for having me!

Unicorn Dream - Week 146, Dreams of Gaudí - Week 140

The Unicorn's background grows nicely, hopefully at this pace I can finish this page before this year ends :))

And I'm making some progress with Gaudí's confetti as well, pretty soon I'm gonna get to the lights! :))

I left it a little while this time between updates as these last pages have stitched up really quickly. Lots of block stitching.

Anyway, these pages go more than halfway across the piece, the last of the next 3 pages being only 12 stitches wide.

I loved watching her hand come out in the stitching. I seem unable to put this piece in rotation as I am really enjoying every stitch, Bodes well for the other 6 'Sins'!

I've got lots to report since my last post as I have finished Page 9 (out of 36) of Princess Izzy by Hannah Lynn AND Page 4 (out of 8) of Mini Lucia by Myka Jelina!

Three Worlds Finished

After a year of much stitching it's done. Three Worlds, for my son. He has a pond with Koi carp. And I found this design fit well for him. In December last year I started it. In the summer months a small break. With little variation in color I found it at the end heavy. Next week I go to the framer to look for a nice frame. Ivan's birthday is on the last day of the year. I hope he has a lot of fun to look at it.
I stitched it on 18 ct aida. I start a new project when I feel up to it. I think a stocking.

I have some progress for you on my Princess Izzy by Hannah Lynn. I've now finished 8 pages and she's (literally) sitting very pretty!

I'm going to keep with her and do Page 9 to finish this block off. There's still an awful long way to go but I now have her on my brand new Millennium frame so hopefully the better tension will allow even better and quicker stitching.

I finished both pages seeing as page 12 was only 12 stitches wide, it seemed pointless updating then having to do another a day later lol

After losing my stitchy bug for a while it came back with a vengeance and I have averaged around 700 stitches a day inbetween doing some house decorating and DIY this past month.

So the second row is now complete. The third row is confetti heavy on the first and last page but plenty of block stitching in the middle as I start her skirt.

Stitched one over one on 25ct fabric. Apologies not a great pic, bad light and a camera phone make for dreadful conditions.

Update on Felicia by Hannah Disney

I'm done with page 3 on Felicia.  These colors are really fun to stitch--though I'm never quite sure how they will turn out.  This is stitched on 18 ct. Afghan fabric, 2 over 1.   I hope everyone is having a great Fall season!

last pages of Three Worlds

Finally an update. It is a battle with time. I have another 37 days, and then he must be ready. December 1, he must at the framer. Ivan's birthday is 31 December, but the framer is always the last two weeks of December closed.
Crosses another 20,000, which is an average count of 540 stitches per day. This should normally be fine. But you do have some of those days.
If it works, I go a little further with the Christmas stocking. I make it no hurry though.
Our grandson is great. He grows nice and gives his parents awake nights. If you're only four weeks old, you should though.

Faery 2

Just finished page 3 of Faery 2 by Nadia Strelkina.  It is stitched on 20 count evenweave, 2 over 1.  I enjoyed stitching the castle but with this design I get good variety-- so looking forward to working on the peacock.  Hoping for another page finish soon!

Soooooo sorry!  I haven't been on here in absolutely ages!  Not helped by a total stitchy-nothingness for about 4 months this year :( Anyway here are my most recent wips!

First of all, a new start (oopsie!) Starlight by Linda Ravenscroft.  Stitched one over one, full crosses on 28ct jobelan.  Lovely, but so many shades of blue and gray!!

Second, any my main project at the moment, A Princess is Born - Hannah Lynn.  Again, one over one, full crosses 28ct jobelan.  This is after page 3 was completed, I am now almost halfway through page 4.  Just page 5 and a column 12 stitches wide on page 6 and that will be the top row done!!!

HAED's Mini Transcendence as of 10th October 2012 (Two Pages Done) by Gizzimomo

Hi Everyone,

Here's an update on my latest start which I haven't shown here yet!

It's Mini Transcendence by Adele Sessler and I'm stitching it 1 over 1 in full crosses on hand dyed 'Emerald Sky' 25 count lugana by Sparklies.

So far I have stitched two pages (to find the top of the design) and have started the third tiny partial page. I started in the middle so page 1 is actually page 5. Faeren's face is little indistinct but it's so tiny you can understand why, other than that the detail is really good on this one!

I think I've been cruising along at a pretty good pace on Life Force. I didn't quite finish page 2 this past month but there was a lot going on between birthday parties, football, friends and lots of work! I'm hoping to finish pages 2 & 3 in October.
