first page (finally) finished!!!

   Hey everybody!  I'm back.  Although I don't think many will remember me.  I'm Amanda.  My mom's been blogging and now that school's out I have more time to relax and stitch!  I can't wait!  I've been working on lots of stitching projects for my teachers so I've done a lot of stitching.  But only stamp cross stitching.  So I'm glad to get back to pre-holed (or whatever you call it :) fabric.  Took me one year but I finally got one done.  But that's because I was lazy.  : # )  Sorry I ramble a lot.    But this is Pearl Princess by Hannah Disney and I LOVE the color.   It's on 18 ct. lilac,  2 over 1, page 1.   I think I love this piece because I love neon and lots of bright and fun colors!  See ya, (hopefully soon).

Hi all !! just wanted to share with all you out there my progress so far...thought I would post some updates as I haven't been posting a lot recently   Hope I will inspire someone to stitch this beauty ...she's a tough one as the colours are so similar and you can easily get confused, anyway I'm stitching her on 28 count white evenweave using 3 on 1 tent stitch.  So far I'm loving it ! Faces of Faery 66 (Lunitaloca)

I haven't done too much so far, as I am still working on Treasure Quest and I spend the little time I have with that one as I am about to finish.... Hope to have it finished by August.....

Meanwhile, I am stitching this little one while I stay at the park with my kids or to the swimming pool... this is my "pocket" work....  Only 11.5 hours til now, but it's starting to show.... I can glimpse her eye now.....  Hope you like it.

Update on Sanctuary of Knowledge by Randall Spangler

Finished page 2--This is stitched on 22 Count Green Oslo Hardanger fabric 2 over 1.  I enjoy stitching on it but it's definitely my slowest project to (probably because of the dark colors)  I'm seeing some great finishes on the blog.  Happy Stitching!

Angelic, Faces of Faery 75, The Last Leaves and Queen of Hearts

I show you my little avances on my charts:

FACES OF FAERY 75: I was stitching 2 over 1 on lugana 25, but I didn't like the result, so I undid it and restart 1 over 1. Now I like it much more. Furthermore, stitching is much more easy now.

QUEEN OF HEARTS: I haven't worked on this chart from long several months, so the avance is very small... but I've promise myself I'll be more regular. (Lugana 25, 1 over 1).

THE LAST LEAVES: On the last month it has been my favourite job. At the moment, most os it is white sitiching, but I'm wishing to stitch the green colour in contrast. (Lugana 25, 1 over 1)

ANGELIC: I have stitched the face. I love the result, I think it's beautiful. My next step will be hair and the hands. (Aida 2 over 1).

Oops, it's been a month since I wrote. Actually too long, but it has flown by. I left off at the bottom of the workpiece. I liked the fish to finish. It's going slower than I want. In about 4 months we are grandparents and I have even less time. I just have to turn away from it because after all there are better things in the world. But, it's still so fun to do.

HAED's Mini Semiyar as of 19th May 2012 (10 Pages Done) by Gizzimomo

Hi everyone,

Here's an update on my progress on Mini Semiyar by Adele Sessler after finishing the tenth page. He's being stitched on 22 count Dove Grey hardanger, 1 over 1.

There is only one full page left to stitch and the remaining 5 pages are all partial pages so he should be finished in time for the next reward program with a bit of luck! Sorry that you can't see him in full but the very top of the design is over the top roller on the frame now.

Faces Of Faery 164 - Finished as of 19th May 2012 by Gizzimomo

Here's my 17th HAED fiand finish and it's Faces Of Faery 16 by Jasmine Becket-Griffith!

I started her on 24th March 2012 and finished her on 19th May 2012 so she took just under two months to complete but I was in hopital for almost a week suring this time. She was my sole focus peice at the time and she's stitched on hand dyed 22 count hardanger, 1 thread over 1 square.

TT - Violet Sometimes (HAED) Finish!

I thought I'd share my first HAED finish with you.

Started: 27th December 2011 (as part of a rotation)
Finished: 18th May 2012



I'm really pleased with the way she turned out and I loved stitching her.  I think it's safe to say I am officially a HAED fan!

Mini Sunflower Cottage (Gelsinger); 28ct, 1 over 1, cross country - update.
Bit of an update on this one - some of the outlines are really becoming visable now.  The eagle eyed among you may notice that I'm cheating a bit in terms of the cross country by starting to put in some of the blue background, but generally speaking I'm still working colour by colour.

Third Update to Touching the Hem of God

Progress is slow, but it's still progress.  I'm very happy with this.  I love the colors.  Here's my latest:

It's finished, framed and hanging on its wall. I'm very happy with the result, so in a few weeks, I will start my new project... another from Randal Spangler. The train is stitched in Aida !8 DMC 1 over one.
Perhaps next time I will try another fabric.

Unicorn Dream - Week 119, Dreams of Gaudí - Week 114

I used my holiday well, and made some progress with both of my HAEDs. Although at the same time I was already gearing up for my favorite wip ever - Chuck vs. the Cross Stitch, after finishing off the 801 it's gonna look a lot different! :)))
