Hi. My name is Leslie and I'm a new buddy here. I work as an administrator in higher education and I use cross stitching as a stress reliever (along with knitting and writing mysteries). You can find more of my work on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/reitkunst/ - feel free to look through my photos.
This first photo is of a new project: Freebie Trick or Treat by Randall Spangler. It shows a witch riding a broom in front of the moon overtop a house. I'm using 32 ct natural linen and DMC thread, 2 over 2. So far I have completed 374 stitches since February 27th. If you like this one it is still listed as a free chart.
This next photo is of the White Nine Tail Fox (SK) by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law. She's one of my favorite artists and I've been collecting many of her patterns from HAED. I'm using 32 ct white linen with DMC thread. I started this one during 2012 and finally getting back to it. I"m hoping being a HAED buddy will help me to finish some of these.
This third photo is my oldest HAED project. It is The Hermit by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law. This is my progress from 2007 when I last worked on it. While I'm used to working with big patterns (Mirabilia is another favorite designer) I just couldn't get my mind to work around the type of stitching to finish this one. I decided to start on a couple of others and see what happens. White 32 ct linen and DMC thread.

Very pretty pieces. I've not seen many pieces stitched 2 over 2 on linen. Yours look lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing more updates.
Carole,
Thank you. 2 over 2 on linen is my favorite way to cross stitch. I will do 1 over 1 for only for small areas, like faces, if the pattern has it available, like the Lavender and Lace angels and Mirabilia's seasonal queens, which are also in my stash to complete.
