Winter Angel, Marie.

Hello everybody !

Autumn, what a beautiful season !

As the trees are loosing their leaves, two more completed pages have fallen from my Winter Angel’s stitching file.

I really cherish this feeling of intense satisfaction when a page is going to be finished.

When the last cross is stitched, I am in a kind of sweet beatitude.

Everything around me is stopping, even the time...

Then, I breathe.

I step back from my work and I take a global view.

This is precisely one of the most magical moment !

My Angel has now her mandolin and I can hear the angelic and lovely music whispering at my soul.

The journey is so enriching !

As the trees are loosing their leaves, I continue to walk on the path of my dream...

Cheshire Cat

So here is my progress on QS Cheshire Cat.  1x1 on 25 count Lugana.  I started this back in April and hope to have it finished by Dec. 31.  That's the goal.  fingers crossed.

So it's finished...

After 185 weeks I officially say goodbye to Unicorn Dream! And what I'm looking forward to even more: I can finally use up the leftover floss in my favorite BAP called Chuck vs. the Cross Stitch! :))))) Here are the phases of the last page day-by-day:

Unicorn Dream - Week 184, Dreams of Gaudí - Week 179

It's been quite a while since I last posted my progress! Anyway, this week I've finished the actual page of both of my HAEDs! And since there's barely anything left to stitch of the Unicorn, and since I have next week off, I've decided to break up my regular schedule, and try to finish the last page! :))

1st Post

Well I'm a brand new full posting member and so very excited!  I am  technologically inept, and too young to be this inept, but what can I do.  I apologize in advance for all the messes I'm sure to make. lol.

I am a stay at home mom of 3 boys and cross stitch is my feminine  outlet.  I have 4 HAED's on the go.  For me that is huge.  My mother would be so disappointed.  ;)

I am making a huge push to have my first finish by December 31, 2013.  Hannah Lynn's Cheshire Cat.  My ultimate goal is to stitch the whole set.  So I started with my least favourite of her bunch, and am surprised at how much fun it is.

Gothic from Marta Dahlig

I am exactly  half way with Gothic from marta Dahlig. (18ct aida)  I'm going to start again at the top. Then a piece of the face will appear. I always find it exciting. I have a dollhouse inherited from my mother, ( she didnt like it anymore) and I'm knitting a blanket. Also fun to do.

Page 3 seemed to take for ever maybe because it was school
holidays and all the extra things that I had to do. The kids are
back at school now so I am slowly catching up with cleaning
and getting back to my daily routines which I have missed.

I am not sure what I am doing now if I am going to keep on doing

this or pick up another project or be really naughty and start

something new, I feel I need to stitch some colour if I keep on going

Florence - Water dragon 8/24

Hello, Here I am with an update on my "water dragon". This page has been embroidered quickly because it is much smaller than the other.

I give you back the following dimensions: 400 x 600, I embroidered on ecru Aida 7 points in one thread. The fabric has a crinkled effect because it becomes hard to take a picture, it is dear that held her while I was photographing. Good weekend to all and good small cross. Dancing with the Cat update and mini-Feeling Better to date.

I've been working pretty steadily on Dancing with the Cat since my last post, though I don't get near as much stitching time in as I think I should, since I am retired and imagine that my days will be filled with stitching.  I can't blame it on doing too much housework, but can say that family, friends, way too much time on the computer with forums and silly computer games (I've become addicted to Candy Crush saga and a few word games on my iPad) are interfering. Still I managed to complete the top half of page 3 with some overflow stitching on page 4.  When I next pick this up I am pretty sure I will be able to start stitching the lovely bow in the ballerina's hair.  I have enjoyed stitching the rocky background as I love the texture the detail gives it, but I am eager to start on the little girl and some different colors.

Next up is Mini Feeling Better by Maxine Gadd.  This was a RAK I received last year after I had suffered a pretty nasty fall so it is kind of special besides being lots of fun to stitch. I am tent stitching 2 over 1 on 28 ct jobelan or laguna (I am so bad at remembering).  Love the coverage!  Have a Hardanger SAL to catch up with and then some time on this one!  This is where I stopped the last time I was working on it.
