Dragon Knot Update 06/30/2010

It's been a while but I've been stitching on Dragon Knot.

New Start and some progress pics

After some gentle "coaxing" from some other fine HAED stitchers I started Faery Tales by James Christensen(?).I'm stitching it on 28 ct. pale blue 1x1 and I've gotten in about 500-700 stitches-I did put it down for this week to work on QS Dragon Soul for the Fairy Day SAL on the BB. I got a bit done on it-I think I now agree with others that don't like the #4 braid on the face.I'm only using 1 strand of it too and learned from the first side that I do all the stitches around the shiny spots and then go back and fill it in. I found if I did it along the way I would lose a hole here and there because of the thickness of the #4.I also worked on SK MOTD for the final SK SAL,didn't get it finished but got alot done. Valorie(she's 4,my GD)picked Sunny for me to do on the next SK SAL,we're getting excited about that one.Love all the colors in her!
I just got my computer fixed and we lost all of our other stuff,I don't feel like linking to photobucket atm so just these recent updates is what I have.I'm finishing up some on QS Dragon Soul as I'm itching to get back to Faery Tales....But I really need to work on a better rotation-I stll need to finish QS Citrine and SK Rose on Fire....

These were all scanned on 6/19/10,I'll scan QS Dragon Soul a little later today and stick it in here too.

I had a great time going thru the posts and seeing all the great progress being made,there sure are some lovely charts being stitched out there:)   Everybody have a great day!

Unicorn Dream; Gaudi

This was my day! First, because I managed to fix my computer all by myself (OK, changing a power supply isn't such a big thing, but it did make me sweat a bit!), and second, because... well, about that, a little later. Before that, here's the current status of the Unicorn:


OK, so second, because I've completed the fifth page of Gaudí! Right on time, before I went crazy from all the confetti. So I'm going to go back to the calm blue patches of page 3. :)

Train of Dreams

After a serious absence of three weeks of vacation I can show you the Train. I worked at it before we went to Austria and Italy. When I came home yesterday and I saw it again a cant wait to start again. But first clear the house from stuff we take home. Later this week I show the Medusa. I take it with me for the evenings.

FALL FAIRY

Hi friends .....Here's my up date from sunny Belgium, this time I worked on the Fall Fairy and slowly but surely the fairy shows up in the trees! There are so many nice details in this pattern! This has been a pleasure to work on this!

Christmas Presence

Hi all you stitchers,
Isn't summer a wonderful time of year. It is too hot to be outside so you can stay in the house with the AC running and stitch. At least that is what I do. Of course, it helps that I am retired and don't have anywhere I have to be on a regular basis.

I am working on Christmas Presence and it is wonderful to be using lots of colors. I am enjoying each stitch, but haven't taken a picture yet to let you know how far along I am. Maybe by next week.

Train of dreams

Hi everyone!
This is my first update on Train of dreams. I started in the other corner than Astrid, just to keep you entertained! ;-)
I really like stitching this work. The colours are beautiful and those who remember my other stitchings know that colours are the most important thing for me.

In the right down corner you can see a small beginning of the train: the lamb. I can't wait to stitch further, so that is what I'm going to do now. I hope my son (8months already!) sleeps for another 30 minutes!

Wouldn't you just know it?

OK, so they are in my stash now and there they sit, 

all revved up with no time to go.

In the mean while I will drool and get everything together just in case I get hit with the "OhgoaheadstartanotheroneNOW's".

Northern Tranquility is moving along nicely 

so maybe these won't have to long to wait.

Unicorn Dream; Gaudi

I've finally entered the Unicorn's head. 2-3 more weeks and I'm done with this page as well!

Same with Gaudí, I don't have much left of the sky on this page, and the tower is only missing a few confetti stitches here and there.

SK Mermaid of the Deep

For the last two weeks, the HAED BB has been buzzing about the next freebie SK SAL. I felt guilty that I hadn't finished Mermaid yet, so I pulled her out. Well, a day later my guilt was gone and I was on to something else! A few days after that, the final SAL weekend rolls around and I figured that since I did sign up for this, I should participate! Right now her face is under one of the snaps and I find I am enjoying her much more!

New start /Motherly love

I have a new Heaven and Earth started because I want a little more variety in my stitching! It's Motherly Love by Dona Gelsinger, I think it's a pretty picture and I love the colors! There are 195,600 stabbing there to do and there are 119 colors and i stitch it on 18 count aïda, when I look at the pattern, I see pages with easy pieces, and then others where many colors alternate, actually a normal pattern! Am curious what you think of it;)!

It's been a very long time since I've posted an update on Dragon Knot.  It isn't much but I have worked a teeny tiny bit on it!

Dragonfly Update
