Update Magnificent Wings and Berry Branches

Here are my updates

Magnificent Wings:
I am really making progress on her. She is my focus piece this year and I want to make a lot of progress on her or I will toss her out. She needs to go towards a finish. At least I want to finish the top two rows this year but I would be happier if I finished the top three rows though that might be a bit ambitious. :) :

last time:

Mini Berry Branches:
I want to finish Berry Branches this year.

As things are today

I have been out of stitching and blogging so long, I feel rusty!
But it starts to itch again. Due to health issues I haven't stitched for so long.
But now things are starting to settle a bit so I am now slowly picking things up again.
The last WIP I was stitching on was Mini Berry Branches. Here's a pic:
So happy to pick her up again!

.....maybe I will start a new one. You know, for the joy of stitching again! ;)

Happy stitching!

A lot of updates

Hi everyone,
I have lot of pictures to show. It has been a while since I lasted posted.
First of all, I am back working on Magnificent Wings. I finally finished her forehead (yay!) and I have fun again stitching her hair.
stitched on 25 cnt black evenweave
This picture doesn't do her much justice. Her eyes are very colorful and bright irl.

Also I have a new start. I wanted to stitch something on aida because the others were going so slow. I wanted something easier to stitch. So I started TT A Pale Comparison. She is stitched on 20 count white(I know it looks blue on the picture, but it is really white!) aida and I really like stitching her. I am halfway already.

I haven't worked so much on QS Creativity, but still a small update on her:
Stitched on 25 count ecru evenweave

And I started SK SAL Rapunzel. She has some intense confetti going on!

Update on Creativity

She is a pleasure to stitch. The colors are wonderful and stitching the face goes quite fast, not a lot of confetti except for her eyes. The 5th page is almost finished. There are 12 pages in total (3 partials).

1 over 1, full cross, 25 count

Happy stitching!

Update Creativity

Here's my latest update on QS Creativity by Lisa Victoria.
I have finished my second page.
The colors are a joy to stitch, without too much confetti.

And I have to say that it is a joy to see all your beautiful work here!

Love, Lonneke

Update Creativity and Magnificent Wings

I am now actively working on these two designs. I especially love to work on Creativity. The colors are wonderful. Both are stitched 1 over 1on 25 count, so it is not going very fast, but I think the result is really beautiful.

Happy stitching,

Lonneke

Update QS Creativity

Here's my update of QS Creativity. It has been over a year since I last stitched on her! I really enjoy stitching her again and I hope to keep stitching her until she is finished.
before:

after:

The confetti of the yellow part really dazzled me, so instead of keep staring at the chart I decided to switch technique and started my own version of parking. This really helps me with the confetti.

Happy new year to all!

Bliss finished!

Yeah! I finished QS Bliss in time for the end of the year. Now I have reached all my stitching goals for 2010.
She turned out really nice:

I am now stitching on QS Creativity from Lisa Victoria. That will be my focus piece for next year. I hope to finish her in 2011.

I hope you all had a good Christmas.

Happy stitching,
Lonneke

QS Bliss

Hi everyone,
Here's an update on Hannah Lynn's QS Bliss. It is my goal to finish her this year and I thought I would not make it, but I have hope now. I stitched like crazy last week and made a lot of progress. I can't seem to put her down! The laundry is piling up and so is the dust in my house, but I thought I deserved a break. I feel like I had a mini vacation! Really nice.
I am amazed at how pretty she is.

Old buddy, new member

First I like to thank Astrid for being my buddy! Thank you, Astrid!
I am happy I am a member now.
Here's an update on Magnificent Wings:

Almost finished the eyes. They were a lot of work, but I think they look beautiful. I am very happy with them.

And an update on Venus Dryad. I finished the top row pages!
The colors on this one are so beautiful. The greens and browns are very rich and just gorgeous. It's a real pleasure to stitch them.

Lonneke

Hi everyone,
I have been MIA, a lot has been going on here and I couldn't find the time for updates.
I finished From the Ashes from SPML and the 2010 SK HAED SAL Dark Mermaid.
I also have been stitching on QS Venus Dryad by Annie Rodrigue again while on vacation. I love the richness of those greens.
I am happy with my finish and I want to finish three more HAED's before I start a new one. The next one is going to be QS Bliss form Hannah Lynn.
I have been looking at all your stitching. It is looking amazing and very inspiring. What a great artwork!
Happy stitching, Lonneke

Lonneke

Hi everyone,
I've started stitching again on Magnificent Wings. Here is my progress. I still love this design very much. Stitching on black has its difficulties though. Excellent light is a necessity!
I also joined the HAED 2010 SK SAL. I am stitching Mermaid of the Deep.

From the Ashes and Dark Cherry from Lonneke

I ran into a problem with From the Ashes. I have a big color difference between two skeins of the same color! I didn't know before I began that there could be such a color difference with color 647. It doesn't look good. Here it is:

All the dark grey above the arrows should have been the same as the lighter, greener grey as it is below the arrows. Can you see it? Awful isn't it?! This really sucks. As you can see the new color is much better then the old one. I don't know how I can change it. I think frogging will make it worse because I think that's undoable without damaging what I have already stitched. And I don't have more skeins of the old 647. Starting over is also not an option for me. I have stitched over 80% and I have been stitching on this for 2,5 years. It's an older pattern, so there was no usage list included.

But there is also some good news. I finished QS Dark Cherry!

Hi everyone.
I have been ill lately, so I had a lot of stitching time! Here is the result.

I almost finished my Dark Cherry! I really would like to finish it this year.
