Midieval Shelf, Spangler

It's the way it goes. Pressure, family activities and work. Many reasons, in order to find, time to write. Meanwhile, stitching continues. Maybe in a lesser extent than in previous years. That is not bad at all. Our grandson is a part of it. One more week to go, then Lucas gets a little brother.
I am stitching for this new brother. Midieval Shelf from Spangler. Lovely bright colors.
So in August, we have two grandchildren to sleep. It's getting crowded in the house. Cozy though.

It's been too long since I've been writing. That's not right. So I promise to do better.
I have worked a lot on Gothic. Five pages was added.
But then comes a new grandchild (in May), and I have put her aside.
Along with Sanne there is a new project sorted out for the new nursery. Midieval Shelf, from Spangler. I do not think I get it ready for the birth. But I will come far. 23 pages in 20 weeks is too much., Even for me

Gothic

In the winter there is always more time that I can embroider. With nice weather we are more outside and exercise more. Now it is delicious with chocolate milk and a homemade cookie to be home.
Gothic, from Marta Dahlig goes smoothly. Already two pages done.
There was also great news, we will be back grandparents next year. Lucas gets a little brother or sister. The first echoes are created and the baby is growing well.

I am exactly  half way with Gothic from marta Dahlig. (18ct aida)  I'm going to start again at the top. Then a piece of the face will appear. I always find it exciting. I have a dollhouse inherited from my mother, ( she didnt like it anymore) and I'm knitting a blanket. Also fun to do.

Outrageous of myself, that I do this again to slow to show the progress. Anyway, now still just taken time. I have quite a lot done. I've already been down to the edge. And now a top piece started. I see her jewelry emerge. Fun to do. Only strange that the example shows a purple dress but I have to make it green. Maybe it even changed towards the front. Well I was just enamored of the color.

The process is slow. Four pages done. You can see the arm well. Not if you are on top, but now the picture is taken. Very beautiful.
It is tempting to first do the face. But I simply love surprises. So I go down first. Well boring but that does not matter. Maybe I do work from bottom to top, in order to keep up the tension.

Stocking for Lucas

Finaly the end of this stocking.
Its for my grandson lucas. He is only seven months but in the future he wil enjoy it. Now I can make the bleu fabric behind it. And a  ribbon for the stove to hang on. I  started  Gothic, from Marta Dahlig but there were some health isseus. Still not better but its comming slowly back again.
Sorry this is non HEAD. but at this time its all I did in three months. In a respons of Louannes question I will give up my place to a more active new member. I hope I can get back to a more serious project I hope so. Good luck everyone. I enjoyed it here very much. Astrid.

Escher, Three Worlds Framed

Finally back. The list was not in stock, so it was only just in time. Ivan's birthday is tomorrow. Sanne has a spot on the wall in mind. He's pretty big. 55 x 75 cm. I'll see if I can make a photo with Ivan and the Escher. A new project of mine is from Yerka and Pinkney. Ill show it soon.

Three Worlds Finished

After a year of much stitching it's done. Three Worlds, for my son. He has a pond with Koi carp. And I found this design fit well for him. In December last year I started it. In the summer months a small break. With little variation in color I found it at the end heavy. Next week I go to the framer to look for a nice frame. Ivan's birthday is on the last day of the year. I hope he has a lot of fun to look at it.
I stitched it on 18 ct aida. I start a new project when I feel up to it. I think a stocking.

Finally an update. It is a battle with time. I have another 37 days, and then he must be ready. December 1, he must at the framer. Ivan's birthday is 31 December, but the framer is always the last two weeks of December closed.
Crosses another 20,000, which is an average count of 540 stitches per day. This should normally be fine. But you do have some of those days.
If it works, I go a little further with the Christmas stocking. I make it no hurry though.
Our grandson is great. He grows nice and gives his parents awake nights. If you're only four weeks old, you should though.

Three Worlds, nine pages left to do.

It's hard to stay focused. The weather is nice. I want this off in December. I must do something every day. Nine pages to do. I calculated that 4000 stitches  a week I should be enough. This is normally not a problem. But there is much to happen in the coming months.

You do not become a grandmother every year.

The carp is almost completely in the picture. Now the last row on the side up. Then the full width reached. A page a week, I could just not. so many other things. The garden needs attention. Last week we were two days doing odd jobs, with Ivan and Sanne home. Wallpapering and a new floor. It is very nice. Now the furniture, and then a new little person can sleep in it. Just 13 weeks to go. It goes so fast.

Oops, it's been a month since I wrote. Actually too long, but it has flown by. I left off at the bottom of the workpiece. I liked the fish to finish. It's going slower than I want. In about 4 months we are grandparents and I have even less time. I just have to turn away from it because after all there are better things in the world. But, it's still so fun to do.

In the past two weeks I made ​​a page. However, many pieces the same. It works fast. Now the body of the fish. I did nothing of the majesty Telephony. The time flies away and there were no hours left this week.

I am with the last page of this row ready. Now I go to the next row. The carp is beautiful in the picture. Although I find it a nice project, I have just a new start. I could not resist. What a fun.
It is Her Majesty Telephony from Jacek Yerka. With a shower as horn and a small tin beetle as an bell. The pearls come from the dress. Really like Dali.

Escher, the fish

Finally the fish. As good as on the bottom. where many fish simply hang out. Because of here in the Netherlands two weeks , nice weather, I have less time in stitching. But that's okay. Gardening is fun. The blossom of the plum tree in full bloom. Many of bikerides with my new bike. It is also the only thing I can move on. Walking is still a disaster. Tendon inflammation that would not go away. next week I get orthotics. I hope that brings some relief

The second Page of the second row, runs again until the end. I was afraid that the few colors would stand against me. But nothing is less true. It is not boring. There's also alot of Kreinik in between. That glistens so beautifully.

I will stitching again soon, sick

In the first week of December at work I  very hard bumped my elbow. I've been home for 5 weeks.
At that time I had sometimes a strange aching pain in my heel. But the pain was with the painkillers for my elbow under control. Now that I no longer need them for my elbow, the heel burst out. That appears to be a bursitis. Wow what does that hurt.  Now after two days with the pain relief I can just lay back the foot.
With the elbow unfortunately I could not stitch. Now I'm sprawled on the couch to relieve the heel and it is not convenient to stitch.
I am reading, The Laws of Magic, by Terry Goodkind. Very pretty intense stories. I am now working on the fourth law. Each book there are six hundred pages. I believe there are twelve books. Well, I have a while.

First Rose Framed

Finally, she's home. The factory, not delivered my first Frame I selected. And I had to pick a new one. This has lasted six weeks. But now she is finally on the wall. Just before Christmas.
I am now working with Three Worlds of MC.Escher. Also fun to do. Quite different. And again on 18 ct aida. For the First Rose was very careful not to miss count. The linnnen worked very different. But it was successful.

After one week Stitching black and white, I have a page ready. It's something different than all the green. Nice to do. I go one page down. I am curious about the fish. Almost Christmas. Wonderful weekend with family.
