SAL update - Sakura

Hi Everyone!

I had a guest on Thursday night so I did my SAL on Friday night.

Sakura Pre SAL:

Post SAL:

Stitched on 40 ct 1 over 2.

I love this SAL because I'm always working on several WIPs at the same time and the SAL ensures Sakura gets her turn every week. I have about 1000 stitches done now. I have decided to swap out the BF for B5200 and add sparkles at the end if I think I need to.

Sakura WIP 1

Hi everyone :)

Last week I started Sakura by Chin Chou Kuik:

I decided to stitch her on 40 ct linen 1 over 2 and it has been a lot of fun to stitch so far! Here is a pic:

I am loving the colours of this project and I was so excited when I saw the flower emerge :D

SAL Thursday?

So it's Thursday (for me in NZ) will there be a SAL or is it a bit informal?

If there is a SAL I will definitely take part! I got my fabric so I can now start Sakura by Kuik.

Lisa aka Kiwiflowa

Hi my name is Lisa, my BB name is Kiwiflowa, and I live in Auckland New Zealand. I work full time and I used to study part time but this is the first year in 6 years that I'm not studying!!! So now the weekends, holidays and evenings are mine because I don't have homework anymore I'm really looking forward to getting some serious stitching done! My stitching tastes are way too broad, I love sampler, primitive, TW, kits like Dimensions and Lanarte, Mirabilia and L&L and of course HAED. I wish I was a bit pickier in what I liked it would be easier to decide what to stitch! To that end I've decided to dip my toe in and try stitching an HAED again. I've tried before but I didn't really have much time so the designs fell by the wayside. I have 15 HAED charts on my wishlist and last weekend I decided that Sakura will be my first HAED and bought it!

I don't like stitching over one solidly for an HAED so I've ordered some 40ct antique white linen and will stitch 1 over 2. I have the chart printed, floss and hopefully the linen will show up today or tomorrow!
