Lisa's Update: Garnet

I've taken the past few months off from stitching Garnet, but this past week I got back into her. I had the week off from work and a few movie marathons, and got quite a bit done!

Here's where she was last time you saw her:

Lisa's Update: Garnet

Well, I defintitely didn't finish page 1 this month like I originally wanted to. But I think I vastly underestimated how long stitching can take :P Anyway, here's where I was last time you saw it (beginning of Septemberish)

And here's where I'm at now:

Half of page 1 is officially done :) And now I'll be moving out of HAED for awhile and working on other projects :)

Garnet QS Update, Lisa

I don't have a picture of where I was with this one before, but I've done just under 1,000 stitches this month so far :) She is a wonderful change from Noah's Ark, though the one-over-one stitching was hard to get used to, and my back does NOT love me for hunching over the q-snaps. But I like her.

And here's what she'll look like in the end:

Moon Fantasy SK

I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while. I seem to have lost my blogging mojo and haven't updated my own in a couple of months.
I have been stitching a little bit on and off. I had a new start on Rachel Anderson's QS Garnet and have put a few more stitches in QS Alisha, but not enough to take pics yet, but I have made some progress on Kuik's Moon Fantasy SK so thought I'd share.
I am going to try to post more often, even if it's only a pic and very quick update like this, as I love looking at everyone's progress.

Buddy Lisa's Queen of Hearts

Here is the progress of my buddy (Lisa) Queen of Hearts. She apologised for the blurriness of the picture. She is currently very busy doing up some Christmas gifts and will post another pictures, hopefully after Christmas.

Moon Fantasy Storykeep

I am so sorry that I have not posted for such a long time. I have been in a big stitching slump for the last few months and I'm sad to say not much stitching has been done in that time. I started off not stitching at all for a few weeks to see if that would bring back my need but it didn't work, so since then I've just put a few stitches in every now and again, mainly on small projects however. My HAED's have therefore been very sadly neglected. I miss them so much, but they feel like a struggle right now so I have put in the odd 100 or so stitches then put them away again.
I thought I'd post an update pic of my Moon Fantasy Storykeep as I've done about another 1000 stitches since the last pic. I've also put a few stitches in on my Cabin In The Woods, but not enough for a pic yet really.
I am pleased to say that I think this last week I've enjoyed the little stitching I have done more, and so am hoping that the worst may be over and my love for my stitching is coming back.
All of your wips are absolutely gorgeous and I look following your progress whilst I cannot make much of my own. I'm so happy that a way has been found for the girls on the waiting list to participate as well.
I will try to be back much sooner this time. Til then, happy stitching.

QS Alisha Pg 1 HD

I finally finished page 1 on my QS Alisha by Hannah Disney last night after stitching on her most of the day. It's taken a long time to finish the last bit but we've been away and I haven't had much chance to stitch for a while. Anyway, I had a day to myself yesterday so stitched and stitched and got there in the end.
I've got a non-HAED project that I need to stitch for DD but I'm going to grid the next page of Cabin In The Woods and make a start on that as well, and work on them alternately I think. As much as I love the colours in Alisha I think I need a change from her for a while.

QS Alisha & Moon Fantasy SK

Sorry I've not posted since the end of last month. Things here are just so chaotic and stitching time is very limited. I'm not able to stitch everyday or even every few days some weeks, and my own blog is suffering from a lack of updates. I understand that this blog is intended for everyone to post each week with their updates but I'm finding it impossible to manage that, so if Cindy & Wendy feel that my place on the blog would be better taken by someone who can post more regularly then I totally understand, although I would love to stay if that's ok.
Anyway, I do have a couple of updates. I've mainly been working on my Alisha QS for the last few weeks, not done a lot compared to some of you speedy stitchers, but I'm really happy with how she's looking and I've loving stitching with these gorgeous colours.

I also made a start on the freebie Storykeep SAL on the HAED BB when that began earlier in the month. As you can see I only managed a tiny amount, but it's a start.
I love coming on here and seeing all the gorgeous updates. I do feel sad sometimes that I'm not as quick a stitcher as some and don't make as much progress, but I keep telling myself it's my hobby and I just need to slow down and enjoy the process.

QS Alisha

I finally picked QS Alisha up again after a long break. Been dealing with lots of things going on in my life recently and feeling very down, and my stitching is suffering, I seem to have lost my mojo. So while I've been trying to work out if I just need a break from my stitching or if starting something new would help I've been putting the odd stitch in on her and have no added another 800 stitches in total. The colours are just lovely, pinks and purples, my favourites.
Still nothing is really calling, although I have been thinking about trying a rotation again to see if that will liven things up a bit. So watch this space I guess.
In the meantime I've been sure to keep looking at all your update pics for inspiration and motivation, there are some stunning wips out there, keep up the good work.

Finished The Page!

I was trying really hard to finish the page before the end of April but didn't quite make it. I did finish it earlier today though so it's come off the qsnaps, been ironed and I've taken an up to date pic of the whole thing. I've now done 22.2% so only loads more to go lol.
I've still not decided whether to move onto another page or pull out one of my other HAED's for a while, so going to have to wait and see if any inspiration hits.
Happy May everyone!

Soon To Be A Full Moon

First of all I'd like to apologise for my lack of update pics. I seem to be in a blogging slump right now and haven't updated my own for over 2 weeks. I have however been following this blog and find myself checking 2 or 3 times a day for update pics. You are all an inspiration and I LOVE seeing all the pics.
I have been stitching thankfully. I have some pif's and gifts to stitch at the moment so I'm stitching on them quite a bit, but I have been working on Cabin In The Woods and am getting very close to finishing my 5th page! I will be 22% done with it once this page is done lol, so still a fair way to go.
I'll post another pic of the whole design so far as soon as I've finished the page. I'm not sure what to do when I do finish the page, start another page on Cabin, or do some on one of my other HAED's, Alisha QS, Always Dreaming QS or Romeo & Juliet. What do you think I should do?

Cabin In The Woods Progress

Sorry I've not posted any pics since my intro a while back, luckily I am better at stitching than blog posting lol. I have been reading everyone's posts and looking at all the gorgeous wips though and they are stunning. I don't have enough hours in the day to comment on everyone's posts I''m afraid but I just wanted to say you all do such wonderful stitching.
I've been working on Cabin on a Wed and Thur evening for the last few weeks and although the progress is slow I'm enjoying it. The first pic is it as a whole before I started the current page, and the close up is the next page along the top row after last week's stitching.

I've been trying to finish up a non-HAED wip for a while, which thankfully I managed last night, so I'm hoping to be able to spend more time on Cabin now for a while at least and see how I get on. Til next time!

Intro From Lisa (UK)

Hi,
My name is Lisa and I'm 36 years old and from Yorkshire in the UK.
I've been stitching HAED's for about almost 4 years now I think and LOVE them. They really are a labour of love and although I stitch other things as well, I can't imagine not stitching on HAED's.
So far I have finished 2 designs, both by Selena Fenech. My first finish was her Dragon Fae Storykeep in 2006 and QS Tomboy followed this last year.

I then have 4 wips, one of which is my real labour of love, Nancy Faulkner's Cabin In The Woods, along with Hannah Disney's QS Alisha, Molly Harrison's QS Always Dreaming and Sara Butcher's Romeo & Juliet. Cabin is about 25 pages I think, and so far I'm on my 5th lol, so I know it's going to take years, but that's ok, I've no intention of going anywhere for a while lol.

I haven't worked on any of my others except Cabin in some time, so I'm excited that by joining here it might motivate me to pull my others out and put some stitches in them as well!
