What Touching the Hem of God Looks Like on New Year's Day
Happy New Year everyone! May we all enjoy many hours of beautiful stitching in 2014!
I wonder if I'll make it to the design's figures by the end of the year? Work on the background continues...I suspect I must have stitched two pages by now, but that's just a guess. Still, I very much like how all the purples are blended.
Project is worked on 25 ct lugana, 1 over 1 full cross.

More progress on Touching the Hem of God
I finally got a job so don't have as much time to stitch as I like, but that's life! Here's my latest pic of where I am on this project. I'm working on 25 ct lugana, 1 over 1 full cross.

A Little Over Two Pages Done!
Here is my latest progress pic. I finally paused to figure out how much I've completed and I'm stunned to learn it's over two pages. I've never gotten that far in the past when I've attempted one of these marathon stitching patterns. I love it though...just needed to pick something with colors and subject that I love.
Pattern is Touching the Hem of God, 1 full cross over one thread on 25 ct lugana.

More Background Progress
The background is a very large area of many delicate shades of purple, so it's hard to tell, but there really is progress here. It 's going to be a long time though before I get to the figures in this design. Surprisingly it's not monotonous at all. I guess that's because I like the colors so much.

Lots of Progress! (and the Inspector General Approves)
I'm please to show more progress than usual this time. And Miss Pollyrose had to get in the pic again...nosy little thing that she is.
Project is Touching the Hem of God and it's 1 full cross over 1 on 25 ct Lugana.

A Big Sigh of Relief
I got nervous that my fabric wasn't big enough for Touching the Hem
of God. Rather late to suddenly get worried about that, but I decided
to move across the entire design length. Thank goodness it fits and has
enough fabric for framing. Whew!
So here's my latest progress. This is stitched on 25 count. One thread over one. Full cross.

Progress on Touching the Hem of God
Here's my latest progress...a decent amount to show this time. I'm showing two pics because my camera reacted to Miss Pollyrose's white fur by lightening the picture. So the pic without her shows the progress and the pic with her shows a very accurate representation of the fabric and floss colors. Thanks, Polly!
The project is one thread over one. Full cross on 25 ct lugana.

My Progress Passes Inspection
I have some progress to show...although it doesn't look like much, I've actually doubled how much I had stitched before. Miss Pollyrose (my dance partner when DWTS is on) got curious and had to see what was propped up on her window seat (for the best natural light) when I was taking the progress pic. I LOVE this pic!

New Start
It's been so long since I've posted that I hang my head in shame. But I've made a new start on a new project and there's a little progress to show you. Not much...a little more than 500 stitches. But here it is! Touching the Hem of God by James C. Christensen. I love all the lavenders--which is a good thing because most of the design is lavender background. I'm working one over one, full cross, on 25 count lugana. I'm surprised at how easy it is! The thought of working on such a high count was so daunting that I only worked on 18 count before.
It's good to be back. The stitching you've all posted is beautiful! Thanks to Louanne for updating our membership, which is what motivated me to get back to stitching. I can't tell you how glad I am to get my stitching mojo back!

Witching Hour - Another 1/2 Page Done
I put this in direct sunlight and got a fairly decent picture of my progress that shows the lovely blues on this design. This is another half page--my goal is a 1/2 page per month. That leaves me a week or so each month to work on other projects. I'm thinking of starting Christensen's Touching the Hem of God but not stitching the background. I got a lovely teal material to take care of that. So as soon as I get Christmas gifts done, hopefully I'll have two progress pics every month. Maybe starting in January. Hope springs eternal!

Witching Hour - 1 Page DONE!
I finished a page! My first! Woo Hoo! I'm celebrating!
My progress pic is attached. I wish you could see it better. The shading of blues is just so wonderful! I put it on the window sill for the best lighting but it is cloudy and rainy outside so the resolution is poor. But at least you can see the growth. Next time I'll try taking the picture under my OTT lamp.
Thanks to the HAED sale, I finally broke down and bought 10 Lepers. I also have Touching the Hem of God. Both by Christensen. I wouldn't do the background of either of those--I'd just use a dyed Lugana--so I just might start the latter.
For those who want to know, Witching Hour is a design by Ash Evans and I'm stitching it on 18 ct. beige Aida with two strands of floss, full cross stitch.
More to come the end of November! And in the meantime, I'm watching all the wonderful stitching.

Witching Hour Progress!
First, my thanks to Sabine who posted progress pics for me as my blog buddy. Thanks so much, Sabine!

In case you can't tell, the progress pic is the one with the needle minder.
There will be more coming in October. I promise!
Susan
Thanks, too, to Louanne for all the work she's been doing cleaning up the site. It looks great and your labor is much appreciated.
Also, while I may not have been posting progress pics, I have been watching the blog. I'm sorry I haven't commented on your work, but it has been truly beautiful.
And, after too many months, I'm stitching again! Here is progress on Witching Hour. I'm well over half way through my first page. Because this design is so predominantly dark, progress is perceptible only by the amount of material covered. I'm enjoying this greatly, but pondering starting a second HAED so I can do something with color. Then maybe I can see shapes emerging on the material. Hmmmm...In case you can't tell, the progress pic is the one with the needle minder.
There will be more coming in October. I promise!

From Buddy Susan M.
Look! You can actually see the progress this time! I've got almost half a page done! Only 55 half pages left. LOL! This is my first HAED. I have another 10 designs kitted up and waiting for their curtains to go up. What was I thinking?
Everyone's postings are beautiful and so inspiring and motivating. Congrats on all the progress. This has got to be one of the best blogs on the net.

Update from Susan M.
Hello everybody. Hope you had a great New Years. Here's my January update of Witching Hour. Progress is so sloooow because I can only stitch some on weekends. It's watching all the gorgeous work you post that is keeping me motivated. Maybe by 2010 I'll actually make it to the cat in the picture, LOL!

November Update from Buddy Susan M.
Here is Susan's monthly update!
"I'm back with more progess on Witching Hour. It's more than double what I had before but still doesn't look like much. I think it's going to be a long, long time before something starts to emerge, but I can wait. I'm enjoying how impressive everyone else's work is. Congrats to everyone on your progress!"
