Halfway

Long time since I updated here, but tought this was a good time.

Page 18 of 42 is finished for a while now but I just placed the picture. Now you see how big Witching actually becomes. Now I started page 19 of 42 and for stitches I'm at the halfway point of the piece. (pages 36 to 42 are only small partial pages) The cat itselve is almost finished and now more books, a map and the candle follow. And offcourse the table still has to be stitched. Still a long time to stitch but each stitch is one :)

More Bottom of the Garden

Working at several pieces at the same time is a bit hard, but I found some time to stitch on my Haed.

Bottom of the Garden ~ Amy Brown, by Babs

Page 4 of Bottom of the Garden is almost 1/3 done, it's going slow because I'm also stitching some non-Haed projects but every stitch is one I assume ;-)

I've also seen other beautifull Haedcharts but I'm trying to stick to one Haed at a time, they are way too big and still want to have one finished some time.

Keep on the good stitching,

Bottom of the Garden by Babs, page 3 finished

Page 3 is finally finished. In this page I had a part of the wing to stitch and again lots of backgrond. But it's worth it. The next page contains only background, but I hope to have it finished soon aswell.

The upper picture shows the 3 first pages finished, the bottom picture shows the wing when I was still stitching on page 3.

Enjoy stitching, and have a happy week all.

Bottom of the Garden by Babs

Hello all, it's been a while but I have some (little) progress on my Bottom of the Garden. I hope to get the 3th page finished by the end of June, but I'm not sure about it. This page has a little part of the wings in it, so that means a lot of confetti stitching.

I love the progress on all of your works, but unfortenatly Blogger isn't letting me post comments. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Bottom of the Garden by Babs

I stitch pretty slow, and I don't have a lot of updates, but here is a new one :D

Almost everything under the blue part was allready stitched when I noticed I misplaced the whole part and in the wrong color. So everything had to be unpicked again. Today I finally placed the last stitch of the second page. And I have to admit, the confetti-stitching was working on my nerves. Every time taking a new thread for only one stitch in a whole area of around 500 stitches where the neck of the dragon starts.

Close up from the dragon's neck.

Part of the tentacle of the dragon and wing faerie.

Bottom of the Garden

Hello everyone,

First off all, I want to wish everyone a happy New Year. May 2011 be as good/better as 2010.

I have stitched a bit on The Bottom of the Garden. It still isn't a lot, and still only borders, but that will change. (I hope).

At the moment there are 38 colors used, and by the end of the page near 70.

Enjoy your stitching, and see you all later.

The first page off Bottom of the Garden is finished. It's only border, so I hope more can be shown in a few pages.

Bottom of the Garden by Babs

Some of you might remember my first Haed, Queen of Hearts. I started it, but after a lot of faults in the fabric and not happy with the coverage I wanted to restart it. But then I noticed more beautifull Haeds...

Recently I started Bottom of the Garden, by Amy Brown. I'm not far yet, somewhere halfway the first page.

And this is how it should look like:

I hope to post more often, but I don't stitch my Haed everyday.

My Queen of Hearts (Babs)

Page 5 is progressing, and still at least 4 pages left to do with only those 4 stupid colors. I don't like it anymore. There are over 80 colors in this work, but all I stitch is 4. I start to think that the other colors are in it with only 1-2 stitches.

Queen of Hearts (Babs)

This is a small update from my Queen of Hearts. It's on my brandnew, selfmade stitching standard. I still have to get used to work in, but I hope that ends soon. At the moment stitching on it gives me pain in my back, neck and arms. It took us a bit of time to make, but eventually, it will be allright.

If you want to see more pics of the standard, I'm not bottering you with it here, but go check on my blog later this evening.

I love all of your weeks, keep up the good work. Babs

Queen of Hearts (Babs)

Hello all on this thursday evening. (It's allready evening here). The past week I have been stitching quite a lot, maybe to make up for the past weeks. This is my pic so far, but I'm still stitching and it's going pretty quick.
Sorry for the bad quality of the pic, but the light here isn't splendid. And you need to click the pic to see the full stitching :(

A few more rows and page 4 is finished.

Babs

Again, not a lot of stitching. I took little things with me while waiting for my examinations and so, but not HAED stitching. Anyway, tomorrow is the big day, then I'll know if I passed totally or not. And then, I'm gonna stitch again!
Have a nice SAL and I'll see you all soon again.

A little non-stitching update...

Hello all,
Like you guys know I haven't been stitching a lot lately, my education goes first ;-) But I have been checking your works, and you are all doing great.
If I make it with my class, I'll be back in 2 weeks with stitching updates ;-)
Keep on the good work.

Queen of Hearts (Babs) and good news

Hello all on Stitching Thursday...

This week I've been working on Queen of Hearts again and I'm almost done with page 3. About 750 stitches left to this page and I can start a new page.

In other news, last year I started a course to become a nurse for eldery people (I don't know how to translate this elseway) and last tuesday I had examinations. Today I got a phonecall, saying I passed my exams and that I got my degree!!! Just one more hectic month with some specialisations, tasks, examinations and then I'm officially nursing.
Which also gives some bad news. I won't be able to stitch a lot in the next month, so I guess I won't be updating the next month and half I think. I hope I don't get thrown out, but this degree is so important to me. It finally will give me the chance to work in something I really love, instead of the factory I'm used working.

Good luck all, and maybe I'll try to update, but it will be a very small update.

Queen of Hearts (Babs)

Hello all,

like every week I've been working on my Queen of Hearts. A new color is going to be added in a few 300 stitches, but the weird thing is, that it's only one stitch. Should there be something wrong in the pattern? It's not coming back for the next 8 pages either. Anyway, I guess I'll put it in anyway.

This week I haven't stitched a lot, but there is something to see. Finally!!!! A rose. And the bad news, it's not growing anymore :( So the next few pages are just background again. Sometimes I wish I took something with more things in to grow.

Anyway. I all like your works. And you want to hear something? I finally learned how to use Yahoo Messenger. So if you want to add me on it, borduurmeisje1@yahoo.com or borduurmeisje1. I hope to see some of you appearing on my list.
Have a nice stitch week.

Queen of Hearts (Babs)

Hello all, this weeks update isn't a big one. Page 2 is finished on this photo and the first row on page 3 is almost done. It's still in the frame cause I just took the picture and noticed I still needed to update ;-).
This page is interesting, cause at the bottom some new colors are introduced. Only a few stitches, but they, it are a few stitches. I must say I'm getting bored with the colors at the moment. I really need to drag me to stitch on my Haed sometimes.
About the ice tea stains, they are more down the work and cover half of my fabric. And luckely, they aren't on my stitches. I would cry if I got that.
I like all your updates, sorry if I don't respond personally, but you all do a great job.
Have a nice stitching week, Babs

Queen of Hearts (Babs)

I know, it's Sunday, but here I got my update. My worked is kinda messed up. Ice Tea is spoiled on the fabric, and believe me, it leaves a mess. I can't get the stains out. Thank God I need to crossstitch over it.
Today I'm almost done with page 3, and still, I only have 4 colors to work with. It gets pretty boring also, cause I don't see anything change.

Before

and after...

Have a nice stitching week, Babs
