Here’s the first update on my progress with my latest start….. QS Emerald Dragon by Meredith Dillman.
First up is a reminder of what the original artwork for the piece looks like…
and here’s the first progress shot after the finish on page one. It was only a small partial page and under 1/4 of the chart page was actual stitching so it was pretty quick and I’ve already discovered a rather cute little dragon snout! Again, I’ve substituted the Kreinik for Sulky 7021 metallic machine embroidery thread.
Here are the important specs for this piece:
Stitched on 22 count white hardanger
1 thread over 1 square (2 over 1 for all the metallic stitching)
Started on 5th March 2011
Hope you like him…… oh, and please note that I'll only be posting full page finishes on here so if you want to see the in between progress shots then keep a close eye on my blog at http://gizzimomosstitchyplace.blogspot.com/

That is so cute!
Very cute !! I like that pattern a lot !
Great start! I'm happy to see that you are getting such great coverage using 22ct, 1 over 1 because I'm just about ready to start my first HAED and I'm going to use 22ct (same as you, 1 x 1). Are you stitching full crosses or tent stitch?
Your dragon is darling and I look forward to watching him grow. That little snout is adorable!!
Bobbie :)
It's full stitches on all my projects except Terra for the BB SAL which is being done in tent.
