Here's the first update on my progress for the Heaven & Earth Designs Bulletin Boards SAL. As you know I'm doing Terra by Brigid Ashwood and I'm stitching her on 28 count vintage green zweigert, 2 threads over 1 square in........wait for it........TENT STITCH!!
I gave in and decided to give tent stitch another go and it seems to be working better this time. I'm still not convinced I like completely as it really does feel like cheating but it does stitch up incredibly fast! I'm going to stick with it this time..... what do you think???

Great start! I know what you mean about tent feeling like cheating - I felt the same! :-)
Me too! But it still looks good, and look how much you have done!
I am having a similar problem with tent stitching, it does feel incomplete! 32ct looks good, but it is so slow. I am now inspired to try the 28ct, your project looks great!
Great start :)
Very nice start ! And this design is really beautiful !
I like it so far - maybe it's just finding the right count and thread coverage. :)
The coverage is great. I wouldn't worry about it being cheating though it looks amazing and that is all that matters. Plus you're completely Faerie Melody in full crosses so it's cool to have a few projects in tent stitch just to get through your stash. It's beautiful and at this rate will be finshed by the end of the SAL!
I love tent stitching. Yes it feels a little bit like cheating, but who cares! I have almost all of my HAED's in tent stitch now. I am to impatient to do full crosses.
Your progress so far is beautiful, enjoy it!
