I have been stitching a lot! ~lol~ here is another progress of 'gothic rose'. Page one is almost done!

Hugs Marleen

TT Cow over the Moon (Faulkner)

Thanks, everyone for their lovely comments on my Storykeeper finish! I still have enough HAED WIPs to choose from, so new starts just yet.

here's what I worked on yesterday:

This is a gift for a close friend who's expecting her first baby. I've already finished TT Humpty Dumpty and Bo Peep for her. Am hoping to get this one and Pat A Cake done before the end of october.

QS Iris Update

Did you all feel the earth shake? I know that I caused a slight tremor here, when I actually got to stitch on my QS Iris, on Stitching Thursday! No one could be more shocked than me! I actually kept pinching myself to make sure that I wasn't dreaming, but found that it not only hurt and left bruises, but slowed down my stitching progress. Next time, I'll just let it flow, even if it is a dream!

I tried to get a photo in more natural light since the shades are so subtle, and no matter what lighting I use, it shifts the shades considerably. Also, I've sadly discovered that my camera is now having technical and mechanical problems, so my photo taking is now more of a challenge.

Here are the before and after:

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend, doing something that you love to do!

She is located in Texas, USA and does ship out of the country! She takes Paypal and her service is wonderful! She is also having some great sales going on!!! I hope you'll check out her store. (Thank you Anita!!)

Have a blessed weekend! and HAPPY 4TH OF JULY (Independence Day) to everyone in the States!!

Cindy F./Wendy

I am terrible at making decisions!!

and it must run in the family!!

After printing off some colouring pages from Hannah Disney, my mouth seemed to engage before my brain and said to my daughter that I would stitch her a Hannah Disney QS as she loved the designs on HAED shop. So I asked her to write down a list of 6 designs she liked, then whittle it down to 3 .... but she is having problems choosing!

I think she has a list of 4 - none of which I have;

Any suggestions ladies? My daughter is 9. She is girly yet wanting to be trendy/funky..... I want it to be fun to stitch so I wont get bored and loose interest in stitching the piece.

Kathy A - Peacock Lagoon

Now how's this for sliding in under the wire. I hope I made it for July's draw!
I have just finished a project that I was doing for someone else. 45,000 stitches and two years later it is done. If you are interested, you can check it out on my blog.

So, that means I was able to sit down and work on my HAED again. Here is my before - June 7th and here is my after on July 27. It doesn't look like much colorwise but I'm plugging away.

Beck's Update

Cindy, still no success on getting the question answered (from blogger) or being able to make my own comment (maybe that means I talk too much, rofl!) - now, just for "kicks" my camera phone won't cooperate no update picture this week.

I have been working a little bit each day on this wonderful piece and drooling over the choices for the future (as well as everyone else's projects!). What a wonderful, delightful place this blog is all because of you all! I am inspired and so much happier every time I visit.

This week I had some good, fast blocks of just 3 different blues and now will be back to some confetti stitches but it's ok...I love watching the picture spring up out of the material. I will never be able to decide which one of those on my wish list I will choose for my birthday club next month but that is ok!

I wanted to share with all of you that this stitching with all of you is helping me get healthier, be more focused and eat less...I am training at the gym and have lost 82 pounds as of today...with another 65 more to go - but it is so much easier knowing that I can put my energy into creating something pretty, not something to eat that will make me not healthy and doesn't really satisfy like being creative really does. Thank you for all you do to make this blog so special!

Blessings to you all and may you have a marvelous week! Beck

Marie, Winter Angel.

Hello everybody !

I'm still having some trouble with my progress, and as you can see it, I have only done a few stitches this week. Nevertheless, faith is on my mind, and I can already imagine the second row finished... And, imagine is the first step to realize, isn't it ?...

You are all feeding my motivation, and I thank you so much for this...

I wish you a very nice week,

The week goes fast. Already somewhat stitched in the evenings. I am started on the last bottom row. It is reasonably fast. There are many stitches of the same color. I know, not so difficult. I have put my senses to finish it in August. I believe that it is possible.

Val Introduction

Many thanks for the invitation, I 'm an avid watcher of the blog.

Brief intro, my name is Valérie, I leave in Belgium, I 'm 37 year old, I am married to Eric and we have two childrens

My english is very limited lol than excuse me but I try;)

I discovered the HAED pattern since 2 years I seems, I immediately like it, but I 'm afraid a little also lol it's biggest with a lot colors!

One year ago, I started with my friend " A Long Winter's Nap", we like both very much father christmas patterns

I'm stopped the stitching several times until I discovered your blog and your method to park the thread, it was a revelation for me and since I stitch it almost every day, it's a completely addiction althougt I have some obligation (sal, birthday gifts and so on). I'm stitching 1 over 1 on 28ct. Linen.

I stop talking, here's where I came

Happy Stitching

It's Thursday!! and time for me to stop the rotation and get back to St. Nick! Can't wait to see everyone's progress! Looking back over the last few months, it's amazing all the progress everyone's accomplished! It's so much fun watching your pieces grow AND your finishes become a reality!! Good job everyone!!

Don't forget, this Friday is the drawing for the scissors and needles. If you're a member, you'd like to win and you've posted any progress for July, be sure to enter in our drawing by Thursday. I'll draw Friday soon as I wake up good;) Good luck to all those entering.

Almost there

I'm so close to finishing this page but it will have to wait a couple of weeks because I'll be tied up with company and back to school stuff.

Happy stitching!!

QS Reflections 2

On the left is where I had stopped on QS Reflections 2 back in January. The picture on the right is where I am at now. I pulled it out and started working on it again last week (sorry the color is off). I'm temporarily distracted by a non-HAED piece I'm trying to stitch up before Labor Day and in the midst of completely shuffling everyone's bedrooms around in our house before school starts. I'm going to be trying to get a couple days a week in on one of my HAED pieces, so hopefully this will be further along next week.

Friendship Award from Sally

Wendy and I want to thank Sally for sharing this very special award with us:) We truly appreciate your big heart!! and we wish you a wonderful day too!
We'd like to share it with all our friends here! Please feel free to copy and post on your blogs:)

Hope you all have a great week!!

Page 2 Happy Dance

I finished page 2 last night. I really wanted to get this done before the end of the month. I think I'll go on with page 3 and then switch back to Fantasies of the Seas after that.
Beatrice, you wanted to know about staggered stitches, take a look. That's how I keep from getting breaks on columns and pages.

Sale/Trade Links added to sidebar

Yvonne suggested we add your sale/trade links to the sidebar. Great idea and thanks Yvonne!
Claire's kicking us off, so she's our tester! I added her email address so you'll know how to contact her if you want to sale of trade.
You have to email me or Wendy with your link to add to the sidebar and you do need to include a way for buyers/traders to contact you.

Is this ok with you guys??

Thanks for your help!!

Cindy F.

A note to all you stitchers

I have not had the chance to let you all know individually just how amazing and lovely all your work is so please allow me to give you all a global "Bravo". It is inspiring so see all the progress and variety of charts being worked on. Congratulations to each and every one of you!

QS Alisha Pg 1 HD

I finally finished page 1 on my QS Alisha by Hannah Disney last night after stitching on her most of the day. It's taken a long time to finish the last bit but we've been away and I haven't had much chance to stitch for a while. Anyway, I had a day to myself yesterday so stitched and stitched and got there in the end.
I've got a non-HAED project that I need to stitch for DD but I'm going to grid the next page of Cabin In The Woods and make a start on that as well, and work on them alternately I think. As much as I love the colours in Alisha I think I need a change from her for a while.

Another mega post - Pethair-xstitcher

The month of July has been a cool and rainy one, so much so that most outdoor acitvities have been spoilt by the constant douwnpouring of rain. All those vacationers with hopes of camping, sunbathing and swimming have been very disappointed. The only thing that the weather has not dampened are the festivals held every year here in Montreal : the International Jazz fest, The comedy fest and the International fireworks competition.... oh and yup, mushrooms are popping up all over.

Lots of time for stitching too as that is an indoor activity, so here it is: (as this is a pictere heavy post I will not put in before and after pics...)
First, a new start : Advice from a caterpillar (S Gustafson) Tented 1 0ver 1 in HDF silks on 32 ct Lugana (SMF Vista)

Then Claire's Wings (Kinuko). I am moving upwards in the chart to catch a glimpse of Clarie.

Heart of the World (Sanderson), I started the next page across and doing more of the black and red leaves.:

and some colour is coming in on QS Poppy Fairy(JBG)

Lastly, some more work on Home is where the Cat is (Sanderson) - the picture of the kitties in the background are here.
Well that is it for the month of July... here is hoping that the summer arrives soon and that we all have a great stitching month!

Catch A Falling Star - July 27, 2009

Hi Everyone! Well another week has gone by and glad to say that I got a lot done again this week. I managed to get about 2,000 more stitches this week and am pretty close to finishing page 2 which I think will be done by the end of this week. I had set a goal of finishing the first 7 pages by the end of the year and as of now, I am a little ahead of schedule so that makes me really happy!

Here is my progress from last week:
And this is where I am now:

Sorry for the blurry pic. My cell phone has a delay when you take the picture and so if you move it even a little the pictures come out blurry!

Look forward to all the progress pics this week!

Kerri :)

I want to thank you for making me me feel much better about the line in my stitching. I was thinking it only happen to me.
The comments have made a few of us aware that staggered stitching at the end of a page is the thing to do when there are larger blocs of colour!
I'm going to work on mine today so we will see how things are looking. I've decided to come in from the left to right at the line and see if that will help for now.
I'll let you know soon.

Stitch with happy fingers!

progress Luna

helo everybody,

Here I'm again with a little progress of my stitching project 'luna'

now, almost one page done!

For Sale/Trade

Love the idea of selling and trading designs/kits etc.... hope its ok to kick things off with my link to my Webshots album that has a few things for sale. I have shown prices for P&P in UK, but if you are interested and live outside of the UK, please contact me at telling me where you live and I will let you know price with P&P to you.

My HAEDs are all packed away at the moment as I am not in the right stitching frame of mind. I hope to be soon... and when I am Violet Sometimes will be coming back out from hibernation!

Still enjoying seeing the gorgeous stitching people are doing and yes my wish list is growing longer with HAEDs...!!! LOL

Posting Trade/Sale and cking in

Hey friends! I'm sorry I haven't posted an updated pic in a while, I was heavy into my rotation but had to stop and stitch a traveling pattern that needs to go to another country when I finish...AND I have to stitch a postcard asap:) Believe me, I miss my HAED, especially when I look daily at your posts! Every one of you are doing the most amazing stitching!! As soon as I finish these obligations, I'll be right back on St. Nick!

Maxine wrote and asked about posting their trade/sale links. I think that is a great idea! If any of you want to post links to your blogs or shops showing patterns you wish to trade or sell, please feel free to do so. If it's one, or a few, you may post the pics and tell everyone how they can do business with you. If selling or trading patterns, they do NOT have to be HAED's...but please keep the advertising to stitchy things:) Great suggestion Maxine. If anyone else has a suggestion on how to keep our place fun, informative, helpful...please let me and Wendy know. We LOVE suggestions!!

Hope you all have a blessed week and we thank you all so much for taking time out of your busy lives to share your beautiful stitching with us:) We love being part of such an incredible group!!

Enchanted Flute 25/7/09

I've managed to complete another collumn of Enchanted Flute. Just 1½ more and I will have finished page 2. There is still so much to go. The chart is six pages wide! But it is moving into a new stage now. By the time I've finished this page I should be working in pale blues and green and have moved away from all the black and navy (which look like one colour most of the time).

As always all your work is fantastic. Keep it up!

"Dance of Kokopelli"

Progress as of July 24th

Still plodding along....

I'm so disappointed.

As you can see the page 2 is showing a line on my stitching.
I won't make this mistake again. I know now that I will STAGGER my stitching at the end of the page. I checked the colour and it's the right one it is just where it connects it shows. YIKES I hope that pressing it will make it go away!
Oh well it's 1 of 48 so hopefully by the time the rest is done it won't show. I will trudge along.

I had a look at all of the beauties we have here. Wow you ladies are moving along wonderfully.
Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post!
Stitch with happy fingers. See you next week!!!

More from Cheryl

Here is QS Rainbow Mermaid as of this afternoon.

Have a great weekend!

TT K--this week

I didn't get as much done as I would have liked but I am moving forward :)

Dark Eyes update 7/24/09

I've been stitching, just not taking pics! Everyone's updates are wonderful, such a talented group, and such varied subjects. Always great to log on and see what has been accomplished. Today I decided to pull out all the Ravenscrofts I have been working on and take pics. I am always with you guys on Thursdays, and almost every other day too. So here is what I worked on this week. Love her face, must get the other half done soon!!

And here is what I was working on last week. Red Witch.
Can't seem to get the pics to flow with the writing, they keep popping up on top. Just happy I can get them here at all!!!

A New One From Cheryl

Here is QS Nostalgia. Stitched on 18ct Aida with 2 strands of DMC.

And what she will look like when finished:

Another New Member

Thanks for letting me join you: I have been an avid watcher of the blog since day one and seeing all of the WIPs is very inspiring especially when bogged down in confetti.

Brief intro, my name is Lynda and I live in the UK near the Scottish border, a mile or so from Hadrians Wall. My family consists of a DH Bob and a westie called Rowley who rules the house and is almost 16. Down on the south coast, we have 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren who we don't see as often as we would like. I retired to be a full-time carer back in 2004, I was a management accountant, and decided not to return to work after my father passed away. I have been stitching forever and was self-taught: presently have a rotation of 8, 4 HAED's and 4 others.

My current project is Kinuko Y Crafts - Cybelles Secret - now on page 4.

The Final Few

My world is enlarging a little more every day, and pretty soon he will have the whole world in his hands.
The weeks are flying by. Can it really be almost the end of July? I don't know what happened to June or July. Time flies when you are having fun.
I enjoy seeing the WIP here on the blog and am inspired everytime I do.
Have a great week stitching.

Contemplating the System

I was working on an exchange piece last weekend so I didn't get as much done, but I have this whole weekend to stitch and I hope to finish page 2. I only have about 2 and a half columns left.

Isn't the dragonfly pretty? The colors are much more vibrant in person. It was nice to stitch something without brown in it. Thanks to everyone for their comments.

A Bit of Progress

I stitched a bit more on my HAED......a bit of progress this week. I am on the first page and it is all sky. I have stitched approximately 700 stitches. Although you can't tell from the photo, the fabric is a very very pale blue.

I love looking at all the beautiful progress pictures. I wish everyone a wonderful weekend!

Introducing Myself

Hello! My name is Jodie, and I have just joined all you amazing stitchers. I am very humbled looking at everyone's WIPs! I'm 42, a partially SAHM of three - 6 y/o boy and soon to be 5 y/o twins - boy/girl. I work casually at the hospital in two different departments - one as there are open shifts that work with my household schedule and one where I go in and work when I want to. We also have two dogs. I taught myself cross stitch when I was 12 - bought a little kit at the local craft store, read the directions and the rest is history. Right now I only have two HAEDs going, and I'm ashamed to say I haven't worked on either for a very long time. One is Jasmine Becket-Griffith's Wicked, Tricksy and False. As you can tell, I'm not very far, but this was my "watching the kids outside" project. I don't get much time to stitch on it because I'm usually pushing a swing :) The other is QS Reflections 2 by Dona Geislinger. I'm about half done with the first page. I have a number of HAEDs currently kitted up and waiting to start.
